Blood Angels ROCK MAN...



Honestly...I felt this way after my 3 games today...my second won may not have been a win...but dear gawd man...if sisters of battle had a phase out number like the necrons did...I would have demolished them too...

Well I played 3 Games earlier today...so 4 all together with the new BA codex...the first 2 today were team games...a 1 vs 1 vs 1...3 way battle and a then a 3 on 3...both were at 1k each...so I took Death Company with Lemartes, a 5 man assault squad w/powerfist and melta pistol a Reclus Chaplain w/jump pack, Libby Dread, and a whirlwind...second game I dropped the whirlwind and brought in sniper scouts...

First game was a pretty close game...but in the end I killed of the orks guy arm and had one objective and contesting the other...againts the necron guy who did not take a single hit...haha...I was to focused on the closer guy...ie the orks...he did a good job...BBBBUUUUTTT...my death company ate up everything they touched before the died...and then Lemartes took a hit...then then charged...it was AWESOME...Strenght 6...Initiv. 7...FREAKIN SEVEN MAN...with SEVEN ATTACKS ON THE CHARGE...oh...my...gawd...he was a beast...tore up some nobs...then the Furioso Dread came in to play with his Blood Talons...he finished off the rest...bye bye killer kans...

Second game was the 3 on 3...my BA and two Eldar against Necrons, SM and Sisters...Eldar guys took out about a squad each from the other side...I took out over 1/2...of the 3 armies combined...Blood Talons are now going on atleast one Dread from now on...PERIOD...END OF STORY TYPE THING...

but we still only tied that game...we would have lost had the Blood Talons not taken out enough Necrons to make them phase out and have the monolith disappear...turn 5 Deep Strikes right next to contest...luckly...he did not teleport any squads to the Monolith or we would have lost...I took out all but 4 Necrons in his entire army...including the Monolith...it was awesome...but he was a new player and only had about 1k worth of Necrons...the sisters did worse...silly faith points...only work if you surivive...haha

The sisters player brought 3 Penete Engines and the Inquisitor Lord Special Character in the walker body...I killed all 4...the Space Marine player brought 4 dreads...I took out 2 of them....oh my gawd...it was awesome...

But the Second game was a tie...

the THIRD HOWEVEVER...

1 vs 2...1500 per side...

BA at 1500 vs 750 orks and 750 Chaos marines...

and lets just say...by the begining of turn 3 the only thing left on their side literally was the defiler...

I kid you not...my assault squads and Dreads killed everything they could touch....took Sang Priest per assault squad...2-10 men squads w/powerfist and melta pistol...2 libby dreads, DC squad w/Lemartes, DC Dread...Reclus w/jump pack...it was a massive death wave against them...I lost my DC Dread, 2 sniper scouts and 2 assault marines...to their entire army...

it was Capture and control...begining of turn 3 it was done...like I said all he had left was the defiler...he had a Chaos Champion running off the board with what was left of a Loota squad of orks...both were within 6 of the DC guys I had that set up just right...haha if not my assault squad would have finished off the lootas and the DC would have killed the one Chaos champion...

they did a great job...and the mark of Tneeztch is nothing to laugh about...I have never seen someone pass so many 5+ invuln saves...oh my gawd...haha...but the libby dreads were awesome...

the 2nd game I had my libby dread with no arms sitting on my home objective with the 24" bubble of fear test...haha...to bad it does not work against vehicles...haha...that was an awesome trick...

3rd game I had my libby dread shut down the Deamon Princes powers with his hood of doom...I just had a blast and the guys I played...had a blast too as they saw the BA codex in its full force...they saw where the messed up and I pointed out where they could have done better...they even pointed out where I could have done even more damage...and by-george...they are right...haha...I am glad I got a good group of gamers...they make the game even more fun...win or lose...I have fun and so do they...

I need to find my Digital Camera...

I got an Apoc game set up for not this coming up saturday but the saturday after that...ie the weekend I do not have my daughter...haha

Myself and another guy will be bringing out SM armies against all comers...15-20k verus however many the other team can put together...which means I need to work on my Warhound titan...if I can get it done in two weeks I sure as heck will be bringing it...but I am not holding my breathe...haha...but that would be awesome a plastic card titan plus however many points we play against whoever shows up...I got a few people already agreed to show up...about 6k so far...hopefully we can get another 10k or so more to show up...it will be awesome...worse case we only get to play 8k vs 8k...I think it will be a blast...as this will be this FLGS first Apoc game...so who knows...

I made a Deathwatch Kill Team thingy...

haha...
ok I was bored the other night and I just got done reading that Heros of the Imperium about the Deathwatch Kill team...and you know what...I want some updated Kill Team guys...

Sooo...I used Notepad (lost my key to Microsoft Office so when I rebooted my comptuers I lost Word) and came up with a decent idea...updated the ammo...some weapons...some stat lines...including those Flash Grenades they used in the hallway...I thought that was cool...

Sooo...hopefully this will catch on somewhere...

Also going to try and test it out this saturday and see how broken it really is...haha

Number/Squad:
The Deathwatch squad consists of one Space Marine Commander, one Space Marine Codicer and between 4 and 8 Deathwatch Space Marines. Both the Commander and Codicer are Independent Characters and may not leave the squad. If all other Deathwatch Space Marines are killed, they may act as Independet Characters as normal and may join up to two different squads.

-Flash Grenades are used both Defensively and Offensively when the Deathwatch unit is charged or charges into combat, these Grenades are used with other ones, this makes it to where the other unit being charged or charing is reduced down 1 attack a piece to a minimum of 1. Thus a unit charging looses their chargin bonus and other units being charged are disoritened thus they are not able to fight like they normally would.

Codicers Equipement:
Bolt Pistol, Bolter, Forcesword, Krak, Flash and Frag Grenades, Melta Bombs, Artificer Armour, Psychic Hood
-The Psychic Hood is one issued by the Inquisition thus would follow the rules for the Deamonhunters

Deep Strike, Psyker, Inflitrate, Independent Character, Furious Charge, Combat Tactics, Counter-Attack, Stubborn, And they shall know no fear

Options:
The Commander may Select items as if he were a Space Marine Captain, minus Terminator Armour, Jump Packs or Bikes
The Codicer may select items as if he were a Space Marine Librarian, minus Terminator Armour, Jump Packs or Bikes he may also choose any 2 Space Marine Librarian Powers, but as a Codicer may only use one per turn.

You may also buy Camo Cloaks for the entire squad for 15pts but as they are issued by the inquisition they confier a +2 cover save instead of just a normal +1.

Up to 2 Space Marine Veterans can be armed with a Special Weapon from the following list in place of their bolter:
-Heavy Bolter with Hellfire Rounds and Suspensors: 10pts
-Bolter with M.45 Targeter: 10pts
-Twin-Linked Meltagun: 10pts

Any Veteran not armed with a Special Weapon may be armed with from the following list, the new weapon replaced their Cloose Combat Weapon or Bolt Pistol where needed:
-Powerfist: 25pts
-Lightning Claw: 15pts
-Pair of LCs: 30pts
-Power Weapon: 10pts

Special Weapon Options:
Bolter with M.45 Targeter: A normal bolter equipped with a M.45 targeter with autosense link and Stalker silenced shells acts as a perfectly satisfactory sniper weapon. This weapon will also wound on a 3+ regardless of the target's Toughness.
Range:40" Strenght:X AP:2 Heavy 2, Sniper

Heavy Bolter with Hellfire Rounds and Suspensors: Potentially a very versatile weapon - if equipped with an additional susupensor unit that provides just enough stability to allow it to be fired on the move. The effective range is reduced but it gains the abuility to provide suppressive fire while advancing.

All Marines Bolters can fire the Special Ammo type listed below. Only one type may be fired per turn.

Metal storm ammunition: A bolter loaded with Metal storm ammunition may be fired from the hip remarkable accuracy. The metal storm shells explode in prximity to the enemy, their fragmentation casing making pinpoint accuract unnecessary. The penetrative and destructive qualities of the round suffer as a consequence.

Inferno Bolts: A bolter loaded with Inferno rounds can cause far more horrific wounds than a conventionally loaded bolter. This is achieved by filling the bolt with an oxyphoshor gel. Re-roll any failed rolls to wound as well as Penetration rolls (you must accept the second roll even if it is lower then the first)
Range:24" Strenght:5 AP:5 Rapid Fire

Quantom Bolts: A bolter loaded with a Kraken penetrator round is capable of piercing the toughest hide thanks to its adamantine core and improved propellant.
Range:30" Strenght:5 AP:3 Heavy 2

Hellfire Rounds: A bolter loaded with Hellfire rounds is also capable of posioning the most powerful creature. The Hellfire rounds are made to carry mutagenic acid into the enemys' blood stream. The acid is so powerful that even the most enormous creature is vulnerable. A Hellfire round wounds on a 2+ regardless of the target's Toughness.

Special Rules:
Deep Strike: The Deathwatch have many ways of reaching a battlfield by surprise. Unless mounted in a vehicale they may always start the game in reserve and arrive by Deep Strike. Because of the ties with the Inquisition when this unit Deep Strikes is only scaters 1D6.

Furious Charge: As per rule book, each member of the unit has Furious Charge against only Xenos. (Chaos marines do not work but Chaos Deamons do, as well as Orks, Nids, Tau, Eldar, Dark Eldar, & Necrons.)

The High Ground for me: Any Veteran equipped with a Bolter and M.45 Targeter may leave the unit and move Independently from the rest of the unit for the remainder of the game. This unit cannot join any other units
for the duration of the game.

Some good stuff about the Wolves...

HAHA...I found this as I trolled the other blogs about 40k...thought you might like it too...

"My brothers Njal the storm caller has granted me this vision so that you too may know the terrible might of the Soace Wolves and howl as their heavy tread draws closer!

I know not of the new range of miniature representations of the sons of Russ, but I have seen the awesomeness of their almighty codex. Gather round now and listen!

Characters:

Njal Stormcaller:

Njal is back in all of his glory. The cyber raven joins him and the most easy comparison is with Tigurius, except that he wears terminator armour and carries mighty runes which blaze and improve his invulnerable save to a 4+. Truly unstoppable he remains.

A storm now covers Njal and this affects enemy shooting and combat prowess (-1 to both within 18" or something like that) and at higher levels can destroy foes and cast them around the table with it's mighty winds. Njal is the master of all six Space Wolf Psychic powers and yes, he is really expensive. Think 250+ points.

Bjorn the Fell Handed. Bjorn is incredibly strong, AV13 to the front and of course venerable. Put those two factors together and he is an almighty warrior. He has four attacks basic and is strength seven. He is also very expensive.

There is also a Telion type upgrade for the Space Wolf equivalent to scouts. This hero, more than three centuries old is the equivalent of a captain and yet with his unruly manners cannot be accepted among the battle brothers, not least because he stole one of the Chapter's thunderhawks and then crashed it during his flight. He upgrades his squad, I cannot remember how.

Battle Brothers:

All Space Wolves have counter attack and acute senses.

Wolf Guard are deceptive, they start off at a little over thirty points but they get very expensive very quickly. A wolf guard with Thunder hammer and Storm Shield weighs in at just under seventy!

There is a character with a special storm shield who can get an extra attack which represents him slapping his opponent with the shield when he charges. He also has furious charge and a thunder hammer that he can throw in a shooting attack. yes, a thrown thunder hammer. When it hits the foe there is an explosion and it reappears with a flash in his hands... Not bad eh?

Blood Claws now come in three flavours, bikers, jump packers and infantry. They remain slightly less able than regualr marines in shooting and close combat but are still really deadly...

Wulfen are gone as a unit.

There is a character who rides a Fenrisian wolf in to battle. It's a bit He-Man esque, but in a good way.

Long Fangs, Heavy Bolters for only a handful of points, you know about the same as a meltagun for regular marines... Also you can carry five heavy weapons... It's brilliant.

How much is a regular Space Wolf? xx points? Oh and you get a special weapon for free. Oh, and if you take ten you get a second special weapon for free... Ten men, and two special weapons for 150 points? Sounds good eh?

Kit? Oh yeah, every space wolf carries a chainsword, bolt pistol and boltgun. Extra attacks, I think so. You can kiss good bye to true grit though.

Oh and one last thing. Dark Angels are now not alone in being able to field Terminator only armies! SW's can field all terminator armies as one of their characters makes it possible to field T's as troops choices!

I think a few of you guys might like it...but point cost wise...this would just be a pure apoc army squad...THAT WOULD REIGN FIRE AND DAMNATION UPON THE ENEMIES OF bla bla bla...

To be or Not to Be...

Chaos anyway...

I am just loving that Icon of Khorne...I mean really, really love it...yes 30 points I could use on something else...like a Icon of Nurgle and give everyone a 1+ on toughness...make those dice a bit harder to hit me against everyone else right...or I can get an invulv save with the Icon of Tezh...WOW that would work against one guy I know right off the top thank you Mr. 12 shots you SOB...and I dont mean the sisters...But what about the other Icon...you mean the Icon that lets me hit first in Close Combat against other Marine armies and therefor almost every other army out there...*except Mr. 12 Shots family I know...*

But like I just said...hit before or get 10 more hits...

so I go back with the I love Khorne...and I enjoy placing the skulls of the Ultra Templar at the bottom of his Skull Thorne...That and my Chaplain Faust gets to kill EVEN MORE NOW...throw a little title of Lord on him and BOOM...evil man walking...

Had a chance last week to play the Chaos list...pretty much split my 5,000 point Space Marine army down the middle...my brother played my tried and true 10 win Space Marine army...complete with Terminators, Land Raider Crusaider, Whirlwind and a number of scouts and everything I could not use in my own Chaos list...but that was ok...I got a squad of 1k Sons and some Bezekers...a 7x4 board was used some buildings and walls in the middle...so on and so forth...got to use my Chaos Lord with Jump Pack with his 10 man Raptor Squad (ok...really was a 10 man assault squad...or was it 15...man I love that 5-20 man rule for chaos...haha...went up against a Chapter master with Power Sword attached to a 10 man Assault Squad with a Powerfist and a few plasma pistols...) Kept the Chaos Squads at 10 men for the game except the 1k sons at 8 (9 with the Socc)...and the Bezekers were at 12 men...

Turn one...I killed those scout snipers with AP3 bolter rounds and some flamers...they died in seconds...I can still see their little bodies burn before the might that is Chaos...even Scout Sergeant Telion died in a very very painful manner...bet he wished he joined the Terminators now for his 2+ armour save he will never get...haha...

I had completely forgot how man guns my Space Marine army had...but I guess because they were fighting men they had fought next to for so long and now had to fight against...They just could not do it...and not a single man fell...well the ones in range stayed alive...all one squad...haha...Whirlwind scattered to the far reachs off the board away from any trouble...and his Chapter Master with Assault Marines jumped forward to attack me fallen Raptors and Chaos Lord with them...but came up to short...way to short to even assault me...hehehe...

His Razorbacks fired into my Land Raider that all of the sudden could only hold 10 men...what the heck...well there was only 5 terminators in there anyway...no worries...but cover saves made those shots useless...then it was my turn...

everyone moved forward all 12 inches in their rhinos and Land Raiders...the Bezekers went the six and rolled for running making it another 6...snarling right at their uptight brothers not even 10 inches away on the board...the 1k sons...6 whole inches...They fired all their shots again...another squad minus the Sergeant with a Power Sword fell...instant death was pleasing the Dark Gods today...

By now my Raptors were in assaulting range...with two close combat weapons...plus the Icon of Khorne...41 attacks plus the Chaos Lord with only a Power Weapon *I had a Deamon Weapon elsewhere and I wanted only to try one and you will see why in a second* with his Mark of Khorne...47 attacks on the charge...a number you will see multiple times mind you...against his 10 assault marines...with their 23-25 attacks base...really now...haha...I have 36 attacks base...but I was assaulting...all my attacks were thrown...40 of them HIT...HOLY MOTHER OF PEARL...22 of them wounded...wait 18 saved...stupid 3+ armour saves...I ended up being hit a whole 6 times...5 of them were saved...THANK YOU 3+ SAVES...haha

At this point he opened fire with every bolter he had on hand...and some I dont think he did but no matter I was in rapid fire range and it was my own fault...Stupid Mark of Khorne...hehe...so many shots were fired...you know how many I lost...out of 6 squads fired into...including the Bezekers, the 1k Sons the Chaos Squads...I lost not a single man...because out of all his shots he fired...he only wounded me a messily 12 times...all 12 were saved...PAY HOMAGE TO THE DARK GODS...by the way...he had about 50 men rapid firing into me so out of 100 shots only 12 hitting me the math gods were laughing with my dark gods at this point...

Now it was time for me to assault...and assault I did...his Terminators all died before the onslaught of 40+ attacks...there is only so many times a 2+ save will save you...you still get to deal with that 1...and he dealt with it quite well I add by the way...after the Bezekers and a squad of Chaos marines 80 attacks on the charge...I made sure I was the one assaulting this whole game...I think I may have fired 3 dozen shots the whole game and those were from the 1k Sons...which ended up in Close Combat against that Lone Sergeant...who well died when he charged...I like that Invule save they got...my brother did not...By this turn the Chapter Master was alone and had killed 3 men...only to fall before his fallen brother who was now a Chaos Lord with the Powers of the Dark Gods in his hands...

By turn two every Squad that was alive was now in Close Combat...his 10 man Terminator squad had done the combat tactics to be in two places at once...and was down to three men including his Chaplain... and he was down to a 4 man Stern Guard squad and 2 tact squads...I had lost 6 men so far...he was dying by the droves...

The end of turn two and the begining of turn three was the end of of a squad of Chaos Marines to those 3 Terminators who turned around and pumped lead into the besekers who were in front of another squad of Chaos Marines...their own powerfist included...I never able to deepstrike in my other 5 man Terminator Squad and my Terminator Lord with Deamon Weapon of Khorne finally got locked into combat...with holy mother of pearl...13 base attacks now...ALL FROM A DEAMON WEAPON...this would reap a fearsome tally...and by the end of Turn Three...his army was gone...no one surivived...the Razorbacks were sitting their in smoke...his Land Raider was blown up...his own Rhinos were no more then craters...and the men...could not bring themselves to kill their fallen battle brothers...not even to save their own lives...the two Dreadnoughts tried to rally at the last turn but some well placed Melta Bombs made sure that those in their walking tombs never walked again...

I however faired far better then he did...not even 25 men were killed...out of 9 squads in the game...and not even able to Deep Strike my other Terminator Squad with Twin Lightning Claws...

I think I am just loving that Icon of Khorne...I mean really, really love it

The ANGRY MARINES CODEX...

HAha...ok so it is not an offical codex from Games Workshop and it is really from the last edition of the Space Marine Codex...



I am going to give these guys a shot at my Gaming Store Sunday Night...see if I stay a loyalist...or just go Chaos...I mean if these guys can't keep me happy no loyalist army will...haha

Razorback or another Rhino

Well I found the other vehical that I bought when I first started to paint my Space Marine Chapter up...gawd...4 years ago or so...

And Seeing that I have the Razorback already done with Aurora's name on the front I decided to put her middle name on the other vehical...(ie Rose)

But I had actually made it into a Prediator Tank that I just well ripped the Twin-Linked Lascannons off the top and the sponsers well lets not even go how they did not work to well...now I can make this other vehical into another Razorback or I can cap it off and call it a Rhino...I dont know yet...




Also some pictures of the Razorback as well in the same color scheme...





Now the catch is this...all the other vehicals will have a different color to them...I am thinking of having a squad or two match these colors but for the most part the chapter guys are all going to be in black to signify that they are morning the loss of so many of their battle brothers....

Well...got one tank painted...

Haha...oh only a Razorback...but it has a Twin-Linked Lascannon on the top of it...

As some may know I am a father to a 3yr old little girl...my world...period...haha

And she saw one of my tanks the other day so I said what do you think should go on it...she pointed at a rhino and then the lascannons...so I thought...HEY...RAZORBACK...and poof...done...

Razorback with Twin-Linked Lascannons named Aurora...I even added Kill Marks on the Lascannon and Storm Bolter...

Forgot a few things...

I got two Marines done for the paint scheme...Black Base with a blue left arm...green trim for most of the tact squads in honour of their Battle Company...a few will have black trim from the 5th company...a few will be from the third which I think is red...but dont quote me on that...I have the sheet at the house with my codex...and will of course paint the correct colors...




The 5 Man Sternguard got a base coat last night...I am just ohh so happy with how they look...all except the beakies...never really liked a beakie...but I can live with a few more...worse case...GREEN STUFF AND CLIPERS...haha




maybe I should learn how to focus the camera better too...haha

I even have it easy too...I am down to 3-4 companies and most companies are completely wiped out to just a squad or two...except for the 5th company which was able to escape to reclaim their honour upon the Necron hordes not once...but now 4 times in the games I have played...

I have only 15 Terminators to my name...Most being from the Assault on Black Reach models but hey they work none the less but they need a Company Standard...

I plan on getting a few 3rd Company men into the fluff as well being on another strike crusier as the rest of their company was obilterated with most of the 1st and 9th company...Freaking Necrons...

And Sooo...



The Forth Company was my orginal plan over 4 years ago...and I still have my starter set with the scouts, assault marines and 15 tact guys and the captain starter box with comand squad...never got far with them...But a few surivied...Captain did not...but a few squads from his company did...

And thus their Standard...



And finally...my own company the 5th Company...The one Company that was able to keep most of the men alive and go on to rebuild the Chapter



Orginally the Chapter colors when I started were Black, Red, and Blue...Being a future found of the Ultramarines I needed to keep the blue there...Red would have been Primary color...but I swapped it around...Black will be my Primary color and red will be secondary color with the blue...in rememberance of the fallen battle brothers...

And tomorrow I will try to bring my Camera with me to upload my clearer pictures of my scout squad with sniper rifles and I hope to be getting my other 10 combat scouts this week as well...YEAH BABY YEAH...
