Well I used a Death Company Jump Pack to make it even more awesome...But that will be his basic loadout...Jump Pack, Power Weapon, Inferus Pistol (Melta Pistol)...

I have two of these guys run in the game and they make up their points every game...

Blood Angels ROCK MAN...



Honestly...I felt this way after my 3 games today...my second won may not have been a win...but dear gawd man...if sisters of battle had a phase out number like the necrons did...I would have demolished them too...

Well I played 3 Games earlier today...so 4 all together with the new BA codex...the first 2 today were team games...a 1 vs 1 vs 1...3 way battle and a then a 3 on 3...both were at 1k each...so I took Death Company with Lemartes, a 5 man assault squad w/powerfist and melta pistol a Reclus Chaplain w/jump pack, Libby Dread, and a whirlwind...second game I dropped the whirlwind and brought in sniper scouts...

First game was a pretty close game...but in the end I killed of the orks guy arm and had one objective and contesting the other...againts the necron guy who did not take a single hit...haha...I was to focused on the closer guy...ie the orks...he did a good job...BBBBUUUUTTT...my death company ate up everything they touched before the died...and then Lemartes took a hit...then then charged...it was AWESOME...Strenght 6...Initiv. 7...FREAKIN SEVEN MAN...with SEVEN ATTACKS ON THE CHARGE...oh...my...gawd...he was a beast...tore up some nobs...then the Furioso Dread came in to play with his Blood Talons...he finished off the rest...bye bye killer kans...

Second game was the 3 on 3...my BA and two Eldar against Necrons, SM and Sisters...Eldar guys took out about a squad each from the other side...I took out over 1/2...of the 3 armies combined...Blood Talons are now going on atleast one Dread from now on...PERIOD...END OF STORY TYPE THING...

but we still only tied that game...we would have lost had the Blood Talons not taken out enough Necrons to make them phase out and have the monolith disappear...turn 5 Deep Strikes right next to contest...luckly...he did not teleport any squads to the Monolith or we would have lost...I took out all but 4 Necrons in his entire army...including the Monolith...it was awesome...but he was a new player and only had about 1k worth of Necrons...the sisters did worse...silly faith points...only work if you surivive...haha

The sisters player brought 3 Penete Engines and the Inquisitor Lord Special Character in the walker body...I killed all 4...the Space Marine player brought 4 dreads...I took out 2 of them....oh my gawd...it was awesome...

But the Second game was a tie...

the THIRD HOWEVEVER...

1 vs 2...1500 per side...

BA at 1500 vs 750 orks and 750 Chaos marines...

and lets just say...by the begining of turn 3 the only thing left on their side literally was the defiler...

I kid you not...my assault squads and Dreads killed everything they could touch....took Sang Priest per assault squad...2-10 men squads w/powerfist and melta pistol...2 libby dreads, DC squad w/Lemartes, DC Dread...Reclus w/jump pack...it was a massive death wave against them...I lost my DC Dread, 2 sniper scouts and 2 assault marines...to their entire army...

it was Capture and control...begining of turn 3 it was done...like I said all he had left was the defiler...he had a Chaos Champion running off the board with what was left of a Loota squad of orks...both were within 6 of the DC guys I had that set up just right...haha if not my assault squad would have finished off the lootas and the DC would have killed the one Chaos champion...

they did a great job...and the mark of Tneeztch is nothing to laugh about...I have never seen someone pass so many 5+ invuln saves...oh my gawd...haha...but the libby dreads were awesome...

the 2nd game I had my libby dread with no arms sitting on my home objective with the 24" bubble of fear test...haha...to bad it does not work against vehicles...haha...that was an awesome trick...

3rd game I had my libby dread shut down the Deamon Princes powers with his hood of doom...I just had a blast and the guys I played...had a blast too as they saw the BA codex in its full force...they saw where the messed up and I pointed out where they could have done better...they even pointed out where I could have done even more damage...and by-george...they are right...haha...I am glad I got a good group of gamers...they make the game even more fun...win or lose...I have fun and so do they...

I need to find my Digital Camera...

I got an Apoc game set up for not this coming up saturday but the saturday after that...ie the weekend I do not have my daughter...haha

Myself and another guy will be bringing out SM armies against all comers...15-20k verus however many the other team can put together...which means I need to work on my Warhound titan...if I can get it done in two weeks I sure as heck will be bringing it...but I am not holding my breathe...haha...but that would be awesome a plastic card titan plus however many points we play against whoever shows up...I got a few people already agreed to show up...about 6k so far...hopefully we can get another 10k or so more to show up...it will be awesome...worse case we only get to play 8k vs 8k...I think it will be a blast...as this will be this FLGS first Apoc game...so who knows...

New Blood Angels Chaplain...

Ohhh...myyyyy....EMPEROR...

I have read the codex...it is truely an awesome site...

HQ's are a bit pricey...ie each would cost about a Land Raider...Seth is cheaper...but no power weapons...but hey Strenght 8...with rending...be great against armour...Death Company Tyco fills and HQ spot and can kill everything...haha

Also...

Death Company Troops...30 guys can give you 6 DC dreads...but with only 6 troop slots...one squad of DC of 30 guys and 5 DC dread...haha..death to all...

I like the new Dreadnought Lightning claw verson...if you take two...for every unsaved wound you get another attack in...haha

But I wont lie...what I missed when the 4th Edition marines went to the 5th Edition...I lost my I5 Chaplain with 3 attacks and 3 wounds...

I GET HIM BACK...WITH A VENGENCE...any chaplain attached to a DC squad not only gets to re-roll hits...but since they are sooo freakin insane they get to re-roll wounds too...haha

granted no rending but still...THEY GUYS ARE INSANE...WHO NEEDS RENDING WHEN YOU ARE INSANE...haha

Gawd that is so awesome...then regular Chaplains are an elite choice...but really...why not pay the extra 30 points an HQ and clear up an Elite slot for something with more wounds and attacks...and a bigger bite like a Furioso Libby Dread guy with a Force Weapon and one of those Lightning claw strenght 6 thingies...haha...also it would be Strenght 7 on the charge because of Furious Charge too...haha

Blood Angels Update again...what is this the 3rd or 4th



Straight from the Bell of Lost Souls Site...but check the bottom there is more...

Force Organization Chart
Blood Angel FOC is divergant from the Ultramarine one:
-Dreadnoughts are heavy support.
-Furioso Dreads with droppods are fast attack.
-Twin scout entries are both elites, but one is scoring.
-Only dedicated ground transport is the Rhino (Razorbacks are out)
-Assault Squad and Tactical Squad are troops.
-Honour Guard can be troops if fielded with Dante.
-Jump pack units are in every FOC category except heavy support and HQ:
--Assault Squad - troops
--Honour Guard - elites
--Exalted - fast attack

Death Company is 0-1 and doesn't need a slot in the FOC

Units Rules
Tantalus Lander is a dedicated transport for everything in the army except tanks, Land Speeders and Exalted. Its weaponry is: 2 twin-linked assault cannons, 1 twin-linked special weapon.

Land Raider: Redeemer, Crusader and Standard

Terminator sergeants can get close combat wargear. There is a Terminator upgrade to allow shooting in an enemy phase.

Exalted: 4/4/4(5)/4/1/5/1+1/10/3+, jump troops, hit & run, furious charge, no red fury/combat tactics, power armor, stormbolter, power weapon, bolt pistol, no options, no transports.

Quite angelic: masterfully crafted slim armor, jump packs, mechanical wings, masks, long hair.

Named Characters
Erasmus: Furious charge, digital weapons (rending), master crafted combi melta: 18" S:8 AP:1 Assault 1, melta, reroll to hit, 4+ ward save, can chose one set of special rules:
-squad ignores red fury
-red fury and preferred enemy
-rage and feel no pain

Mephiston: 7/7/5/5/3/7/4/10/2+, FnP, Fearless, Eternal Warrior, Fleet, 2 psychic powers per turn.
More potent versions of Might of heroes, Transfixing Gaze and Blood Stasis powers:

The gun of Victor's servitor is 36" S:6 AP:6 Assault6

Psychic Powers
Quickening: Infantry moves as beasts, jump troops and walkers gain fleet.
Blood Stasis: 5" vortex of blood in base contact. Enemy models count as being in difficult terrain, and suffer one wound if they try to move and any of the distance dice shows a 1, Mephiston: can cast it in close combat centered on himself, and enemies attacking with a 1 suffer a wound.
Might of Heroes: one model in squad gets +D3 attacks, Mephiston: can cast it on himself.
Primarchs Grace: Squad may reroll dangerous terrain tests.
Transfixing Gaze: Target model must take a leadership roll off or not able to attack librarian, Mephiston: not able to attack any model.
Living Darkness: A template which blocks line of sight.

More on the Blood Angels and their Doom...well your doom



The birds in the wind have sharp eyes, and report the following regarding the Blood Angels,


RULES:
Victor and Unholt: An HQ monstrous creature: 1/1/6/4/4/3/4/10/4+, with a Techmarine handler & big assault gun.

-Seems like it could be fun...

Angels Sanguine Chapter Master Toledo: Rage and Fleet instead of Combat Tactics and Blood Rage.

Flesh Tearers Chapter Master Seth: Is in...

Sanguinary High Priest HQ: unit has: W:2 and grants a Rage (Blood Rage??) radius.

Captain Erasmus Tycho: 3+ Dodge save, Pride special rule and no Blood Rage.

Up to 8 Dreadnoughts: (2 Named HQ dreads if you play a mix of Flesh Tearers/Blood Angels), 6 normal FOC dreads possible.

-Now I wont lie I would run a Venerable Dread as an HQ with the old SW codex...and I run a proxy verson Bjorn of having up to 8 dreads is a bit of over kill...but an HQ dread is something I like to do...multiple things in one...HQ-check...Heavy Support-check....Elites choice-check

Tantalus Lander: 2 Twin Linked Assault Cannons, TL Plasmagun.

-A fly landraider would be fun to use...haha

Guards of the Tower of Amareo: Jump Troops with high I, WS,BS and "Exalted Blades"( Frost axe rules)

-Probably going to be Vanguard just about...only MORE HARDCORE...haha

Rhinos are fast: with a "severe damage table"
-but the question everyone is asking...will they be assault rhinos...haha

New Baal Predator and Venerable dreadnought: with twin close combat weapon options.
-haha...hehehehehhehe...

Death Company: lose rending, retain Feel No Pain, Furious Charge, and continue the effects of Furious Charge if they win combat!

-well darn that rending was always a nice thing to have...

MINIS:

Exalted Assault Squad: Winged jump packs, rapier-like blades, wrist-mounted stormbolters, masks.

Blood Angels Scouts: Scouts, but very post-apocalyptic feeling - like Fallout or Mad Max - chains, close combat weapons, the complete opposite to the generic neat vanilla scouts.

Blood Angel Assault Squad: Assault marines with Blood Angel regalia. (possible Melta pistol bits seen here).

Twin Death Company releases: Two boxes with jump packs, one black armor, one red armor, bareheaded, banner, storm shields.

Tantalus Lander: kind of flying droppod with wings, land raider front, assault cannons under fuselage

Victor and Unholt: basic Techmarine and a new creature: a Tech-Hulk stitched together from a bunch of techno gear-(right arm is a four barreled cannon)

PAY HOMAGE TO THE BLOOD ANGEL



Here's something with some meat to pick at rather than what we were left with in previous threads when they got locked. I got this from The.Justinian at the BoLS Lounge. Sources seem to be a congolmeration of several including Bolter And Chainsword, Warseer and others mentioned below.

1) It turned out that most of the Tyranid stuff from Germany was true. I think We can think of this as preview, some of it wrong, most of it right.Either someone is very good at taking snippets and piecing them together without making mistakes, or has learned how to pick through GW's garbage exceptionally well.

2) I'm going to take this data and conjecture what we can about the likely army list unless there's an FOC modulation as there was with SWolf HQ's.


I'm doing this to project what we know, what we have from the rumors, and what we are sure to be pushed to buy into a coherent whole. I'm trying to leverage the unique points of BA as I recall them...in the SW dex everything that was special about the wolves got its amps turned up to eleven. We have no reason to think otherwise.

Call this a wishlist if you like. I call it an intelligence assessment.

HQ:

Dante- As is now but axe will be +1S. Can take an honor guard assault squad.
Lemartes- Can restrain the Death company.
Corbulo- Will allow unit he joins to be Fearless and Feel no Pain. Grail counts as a holy relic.
Moriar- Death Company Venerable Furioso Dreadnought. Nearly duble the number of attacks of a normal dreadnought.
Tycho- Gives preferred enemy against Orks.
Sergeant special character- No details as yet.

Tacsquad with Auspex sgt, supercharged rhinos. (conjecture: one Tac can take an LR dedicated; would allow LR's on field given crowding in HS. They want us to buy the special LR pretty bad, right?)
Conjecture: Cheaper upgrade on Razorback to Heavy flamers/assault cannon.
Scouts? (with a box set on release this is going to have some push to it, don't know if it will be an abundance or a quality push).

FA
Squad with wings (exalted assault sqad) (likely vampire angel aesthetic) will DS, Storm Bolters, S5 sword (frost axe analogue). (conjecture: likely to have an invulnerable save).
Land Speeder Storm with (at least) fluff on scouts riding to hackzone in it. Possible rule allowing scouts to disembark/assault on turn of landing (I believe that Codex marines can't?). Conjecture: Possible ability to squad up LSS's. Possible rule allowing cerebus launcher to affect other nearby squads.
Furioso Dread, has fleet, maybe hellhound template projection ability (or upgrade to it).
(possibility of Baal pred here when unlocked by a character)
Scout bikers with a (conjectural) heavy flamer option.
Bikers with a Heavy flamer option, maybe an attack bike with some kind of large template weapon.
The rumored flying vehicle. I'm very incredulous that this will show up personally, but if it does I call a 'baby thawk' that'll transport tac squads (perhaps only 5/6 models) and have weaponry along the lines of 2 MLs and TLAC. Will definitely have the iconic D-Day landing craft meme-ramp if it does.

HSUPP
Fancy Land Raider (with assault cannons?)
Fancy Devastators with cheap LC, (CONJECTURE) maybe ability to shoot from moving rhino.
Ironclad Dread (with the push for dreads this will land here, perhaps with an option for a hellhound weapon)
Baal Pred, possibly with new sponson options or POMS. Possibility of swapping turret w/Assault cannons for a hellhound weapon.

Awesome News for the Sons of Baal

Yep...just logged in to some site over there concerning other 40k material...and BOOM

BLOOD ANGELS BABY...

Yep...seems that maybe late March is their due date and they should be keeping my Assault Marines as troop choices...going to miss my snipers as troops but hey no one wins everything...haha

Ok then...

Sunday was a blast...went through 5 games myself...and I either made it to the end and forced a draw...or Flat out won...haha

Final game I uses Vulkan himself...with a 2+ armour save and a 3+ invulv save...(used a proxy not the real model) and he went toe to toe with a Deamon Prince and 5 Emperor's Children (they charged by the way...) went three rounds with them all...put two wounds on the Deamon Prince...and killed 3 Emperor's Children before the Deamon Prince made me take enough 3+ invulv saves...and enough 2+ armour saves from the other 2 Emperors Children...My three wounds really helped a lot here with his relic blade...to bad it is a two handed weapon as with a Bolt Pistol I would have had 4 base attacks...haha

Had my Brother use the Sons of Baal army after I used them once...I won...he got two Draws...which were my two Draws...one was when I was using Vulkan...it was 2-2...

Had a blast none the less and I might be doing more Vulkan armies even more now...haha

Two Wins off the bat...Heck Yeah

...Ok I was a little worried about the price of the Assault Marines when it came to the Blood Angel codex...seeing that it is the same stats and everything...except my flamer I cannot have a flamer in my assault squads...frak...haha (one SM guy I play does his tact sqauds in rows of 5...so hit the side of the squad and you get all ten in one shot...literally...two flamers is 20 possible hits right there...plus bolt pistols and plasma pistols...then assaulting...just truely enjoyable...but I guess no more flamers for my guys...

Just have to keep them in the tact squads...haha

both games were a 1250 point game and I used the same list I came up with last night to play tonights two games...and destroyed both times...

2 Assault Squads - 10 men, Power Fist,
2 Tactical Squads - 10 men, Heavy Bolter or Multi-Melta, Flamer w/Rhinos
Chaplain w/Combi-Melta
4 Death Company Marines
Furiso Dreadnought

I used that Dreadnought to the extreme as he hit up the guardians with the storm bolter and a meltagun...then assaulted...it was great...in three turns the guardian squad was gone...el blow away with el angry dreadnought...haha

Got hit with an Iron Clad Dread that dropped poded in front of my line and was able to take out 4 assault marines before it was brought down by two different powerfist...haha

The Chaplain and his Death Company got one of the Rhinos though and was hit with 3 Hunter Killer Missiles...Jawaballs was not kidding with the DC is a fire magnet...haha...but each time each Hunter Killer Missile roll was a 6-6-1...nothing happened...it was great...Rhino kept a going and unloaded and ate everything it touched like it was suppose to...melta bomb on the back of a predator tank...from the chaplain...gone...assault the Tact squad in the rhino to the left...gone...turn to the scouts who were eaten up by my other two tact squads...it was great...

lots of fun was had by all and I think I may keep those guys there seperate from the other Marines I have and paint them a Blood Angel Successor Chapter...haha
