sooo yeah

I am working on some Terminators that I can field as either Loyalist or Traitors...

IE traitor colors but the weapon loadouts of loyalist...

And I got fluff to boot on either way...

And this is one of three dreads I am throwing into the bunch...working on an Night Lords and possibly a Word Bearers dread with 5 or more Terminators...I actually have enough Terminators to run full 10 man squads maybe a Logan Wing with Chaos Terminators...that might be fun

Yeah...I have not posted anything in over a year...

literally...but I have been busy with my new job...and getting some painting done...

I have gotten my Iron Warriors finised up...The Word Bearers are coming along greatly...got my Night Lords started up...and the small band of Chaos Space Wolves are finished up...

You want pictures I bet...welllllll...

gonna have to wait till I get back from vacation as I will be 10 hours away from my models...but me and my daughter will be at the beach...hopefully for the full week...

When I get back I will try to upload my pictures and my custom oblits that I have built last week...

-also the night lords are not an army themsevles just a squad like the Chaos Wolves...

Well I used a Death Company Jump Pack to make it even more awesome...But that will be his basic loadout...Jump Pack, Power Weapon, Inferus Pistol (Melta Pistol)...

Well everyone is getting on my case about running my Apothocaries without jump packs as priest with Jump Packs...

sooo...I am going to be taking some of those new Blood Angel Honour Guards and some DC jump packs (the new plastic ones) and throwing on a Apothocary gauntlet and say suck on it...haha

unfortantly my phone is charging so hopefully tomorrow night or so I can show the first of 2 or maybe 3...

I played nothing but Blood Angels and lets put it this way...my only real effort was against Bjorn himself...not the army with him...and another BA player...

haha

Saturday I played 3 Games...the first two I was helping some new people play the game so I took it a bit easy on them...showed them how units move and fire their weapons and the such...so I purposely forgot about Feel no Pain and my power weapons and such in my army...still won but it was a bit harder...haha

3 Game was my BA army vs Bjorn and his wolves...I literally killed his entire army off...only for Bjorn to walk forward to stop everything in my army single-handlely...is that even how to spell that word...haha

his stupid 5+ invuln or Venerable status just sucked...haha

Sunday was mothers day...hope everyone spent it with a mom...haha

Monday got 2 games in...First was my BA vs a mixed army of Eldar and Tau...I got worried but in the end only lost 3 kill points for my entire army...granted there was only 7 units left in my army but that was enough for 1 guy per squad and the two dreads...haha

Monday night I learned that when playing against another BA player who played nothing but Death Company...get the charge off...and do not get charged...haha

I saw what happens on the recieving end of Blood Talons...A DC Dread w/Blood Talons took out a 10 Man Assault Squad and Sang Priest in one turn...by himself...haha

stupid fleet...haha

But turn 3 allowed me to charge him...and it came down to my 2k army only had 10 kill points and I had my two dreads left on the field...he had just 2 rhinos and a DC squad left...he got 8 Kill Points I got 10+...but I lost a heck of a lot more guys...haha

All in All it was a great time...everyone had fun...and I learned not to get charged by BA armies...haha

Well tomorrow is my Daughters Birthday Party...just two days ago she turned 4 Years old...man I cannot believe it...in 12 more years she will be driving and in 14 more years she can go over seas by herself without even telling me or her mom...

But knowing her mom I will get blamed for that...haha

Well First off today will have the Pics from my Apoc Game last Saturday...sorry I did not post these earlier but I have been putting this blog of mine to the side a bit to often...hopefully I can get started on that Warhound Titan out of Plastic Card but hey who knows what will happen...I might sell all my 40k stuff and start a company or something like that...haha

I will say one thing...my camera does not send in the same frame every time...it is quite annoying...haha

We did not have a lot of terrain on the field to make it go by quicker...by it was me and another guy with 20k worth of SM stuff the other side had about 20k worth of every other army known to the imperium...it was funny...Had a Baneblade and some sort of Shadowstorm or something like that...the Strenght D weapon was just a bit unfair I think but hey...he was on my team so I was not complaining...haha...

I even had 3k woth of Space Marine stuff I.E. my Battle Company in those rhinos sit there for all 3 turns and not do a thing...I had forgotten about them every movement turn...that was just sad on my part I know...I mean I have does this before but honestly our host/judge was sick and more or less let us do our thing as we had more then enough players to get a quick answer for any questions that came up...

We had a few pieces of terrain an old Imperium Building that had all my snipers in it...10 Scouts and Telion with a Vindicare Assassin...that thing got hit with on average 10 Orbital Bombardments or some sort every turn...it was funny...no one died...haha

Blood Angels ROCK MAN...

Honestly...I felt this way after my 3 games today...my second won may not have been a win...but dear gawd man...if sisters of battle had a phase out number like the necrons did...I would have demolished them too...

Well I played 3 Games earlier today...so 4 all together with the new BA codex...the first 2 today were team games...a 1 vs 1 vs 1...3 way battle and a then a 3 on 3...both were at 1k each...so I took Death Company with Lemartes, a 5 man assault squad w/powerfist and melta pistol a Reclus Chaplain w/jump pack, Libby Dread, and a whirlwind...second game I dropped the whirlwind and brought in sniper scouts...

First game was a pretty close game...but in the end I killed of the orks guy arm and had one objective and contesting the other...againts the necron guy who did not take a single hit...haha...I was to focused on the closer guy...ie the orks...he did a good job...BBBBUUUUTTT...my death company ate up everything they touched before the died...and then Lemartes took a hit...then then charged...it was AWESOME...Strenght 6...Initiv. 7...FREAKIN SEVEN MAN...with SEVEN ATTACKS ON THE CHARGE...oh...my...gawd...he was a beast...tore up some nobs...then the Furioso Dread came in to play with his Blood Talons...he finished off the rest...bye bye killer kans...

Second game was the 3 on 3...my BA and two Eldar against Necrons, SM and Sisters...Eldar guys took out about a squad each from the other side...I took out over 1/2...of the 3 armies combined...Blood Talons are now going on atleast one Dread from now on...PERIOD...END OF STORY TYPE THING...

but we still only tied that game...we would have lost had the Blood Talons not taken out enough Necrons to make them phase out and have the monolith disappear...turn 5 Deep Strikes right next to contest...luckly...he did not teleport any squads to the Monolith or we would have lost...I took out all but 4 Necrons in his entire army...including the Monolith...it was awesome...but he was a new player and only had about 1k worth of Necrons...the sisters did worse...silly faith points...only work if you surivive...haha

The sisters player brought 3 Penete Engines and the Inquisitor Lord Special Character in the walker body...I killed all 4...the Space Marine player brought 4 dreads...I took out 2 of them....oh my gawd...it was awesome...

But the Second game was a tie...

the THIRD HOWEVEVER...

1 vs 2...1500 per side...

BA at 1500 vs 750 orks and 750 Chaos marines...

and lets just say...by the begining of turn 3 the only thing left on their side literally was the defiler...

I kid you not...my assault squads and Dreads killed everything they could touch....took Sang Priest per assault squad...2-10 men squads w/powerfist and melta pistol...2 libby dreads, DC squad w/Lemartes, DC Dread...Reclus w/jump pack...it was a massive death wave against them...I lost my DC Dread, 2 sniper scouts and 2 assault marines...to their entire army...

it was Capture and control...begining of turn 3 it was done...like I said all he had left was the defiler...he had a Chaos Champion running off the board with what was left of a Loota squad of orks...both were within 6 of the DC guys I had that set up just right...haha if not my assault squad would have finished off the lootas and the DC would have killed the one Chaos champion...

they did a great job...and the mark of Tneeztch is nothing to laugh about...I have never seen someone pass so many 5+ invuln saves...oh my gawd...haha...but the libby dreads were awesome...

the 2nd game I had my libby dread with no arms sitting on my home objective with the 24" bubble of fear test...haha...to bad it does not work against vehicles...haha...that was an awesome trick...

3rd game I had my libby dread shut down the Deamon Princes powers with his hood of doom...I just had a blast and the guys I played...had a blast too as they saw the BA codex in its full force...they saw where the messed up and I pointed out where they could have done better...they even pointed out where I could have done even more damage...and by-george...they are right...haha...I am glad I got a good group of gamers...they make the game even more fun...win or lose...I have fun and so do they...

I need to find my Digital Camera...

I got an Apoc game set up for not this coming up saturday but the saturday after that...ie the weekend I do not have my daughter...haha

Myself and another guy will be bringing out SM armies against all comers...15-20k verus however many the other team can put together...which means I need to work on my Warhound titan...if I can get it done in two weeks I sure as heck will be bringing it...but I am not holding my breathe...haha...but that would be awesome a plastic card titan plus however many points we play against whoever shows up...I got a few people already agreed to show up...about 6k so far...hopefully we can get another 10k or so more to show up...it will be awesome...worse case we only get to play 8k vs 8k...I think it will be a blast...as this will be this FLGS first Apoc game...so who knows...

Well I am getting closer to a Larger Chaos Iron Warriors Force

My Plan is for no Deamons what-so-ever...so no Possessed or Deamon Princes...

YET...I may break down later and get one but for now...no Deamons...

Also no same HQ's...which means I have a Chaos Lord (IE Warsmith Model...) as well as a Chaos Sorcerer...

The Terminators are Done...5 Man squad all Chaos Champions and the Mark of Khorne to boot...sooo 4 Base Attacks and 5 on the charge...haha...sick I know right...

Land Raider is done as well as 3 Squads of Iron Warriors...

I am also working on a 12 man squad of Word Bearers that will be the main assault squad...they will pretty much be taking the brunt of the attacks in turn one and turn two...any that survive will keep going till they are all dead...

Also have a Legion of the Damned...The Sargent for that squad I was thinking would make a great Dark Apostle...if not that then a Sorcerer...also have Lucius...for the Giant amount of Power Weapon attacks...I might attach to the Word Bearers just for the extra attacks and wounds on this guy...

Also have 2 More Boxes of Chaos Marines that need to be put together and painted...Iron Warriors Style...haha

ok I was bored the other night and I just got done reading that Heros of the Imperium about the Deathwatch Kill team...and you know what...I want some updated Kill Team guys...

Sooo...I used Notepad (lost my key to Microsoft Office so when I rebooted my comptuers I lost Word) and came up with a decent idea...updated the ammo...some weapons...some stat lines...including those Flash Grenades they used in the hallway...I thought that was cool...

Sooo...hopefully this will catch on somewhere...

Also going to try and test it out this saturday and see how broken it really is...haha

Thus a unit charging looses their chargin bonus and other units being charged are disoritened thus they are not able to fight like they normally would.

-The Psychic Hood is one issued by the Inquisition thus would follow the rules for the Deamonhunters

The Codicer may select items as if he were a Space Marine Librarian, minus Terminator Armour, Jump Packs or Bikes he may also choose any 2 Space Marine Librarian Powers, but as a Codicer may only use one per turn.

You may also buy Camo Cloaks for the entire squad for 15pts but as they are issued by the inquisition they confier a +2 cover save instead of just a normal +1.

Up to 2 Space Marine Veterans can be armed with a Special Weapon from the following list in place of their bolter:
-Heavy Bolter with Hellfire Rounds and Suspensors: 10pts
-Bolter with M.45 Targeter: 10pts
-Twin-Linked Meltagun: 10pts

Any Veteran not armed with a Special Weapon may be armed with from the following list, the new weapon replaced their Cloose Combat Weapon or Bolt Pistol where needed:
-Powerfist: 25pts
-Lightning Claw: 15pts
-Pair of LCs: 30pts
-Power Weapon: 10pts

Special Weapon Options:
Bolter with M.45 Targeter: A normal bolter equipped with a M.45 targeter with autosense link and Stalker silenced shells acts as a perfectly satisfactory sniper weapon. This weapon will also wound on a 3+ regardless of the target's Toughness.
Range:40" Strenght:X AP:2 Heavy 2, Sniper

Heavy Bolter with Hellfire Rounds and Suspensors: Potentially a very versatile weapon - if equipped with an additional susupensor unit that provides just enough stability to allow it to be fired on the move. The effective range is reduced but it gains the abuility to provide suppressive fire while advancing.

The metal storm shells explode in prximity to the enemy, their fragmentation casing making pinpoint accuract unnecessary. The penetrative and destructive qualities of the round suffer as a consequence.

Inferno Bolts: A bolter loaded with Inferno rounds can cause far more horrific wounds than a conventionally loaded bolter. This is achieved by filling the bolt with an oxyphoshor gel. Re-roll any failed rolls to wound as well as Penetration rolls (you must accept the second roll even if it is lower then the first)
Range:24" Strenght:5 AP:5 Rapid Fire

Quantom Bolts: A bolter loaded with a Kraken penetrator round is capable of piercing the toughest hide thanks to its adamantine core and improved propellant.

Hellfire Rounds: A bolter loaded with Hellfire rounds is also capable of posioning the most powerful creature. The Hellfire rounds are made to carry mutagenic acid into the enemys' blood stream. The acid is so powerful that even the most enormous creature is vulnerable. A Hellfire round wounds on a 2+ regardless of the target's Toughness.

Deep Strike: The Deathwatch have many ways of reaching a battlfield by surprise. Unless mounted in a vehicale they may always start the game in reserve and arrive by Deep Strike. Because of the ties with the Inquisition when this unit Deep Strikes is only scaters 1D6.

Furious Charge: As per rule book, each member of the unit has Furious Charge against only Xenos. (Chaos marines do not work but Chaos Deamons do, as well as Orks, Nids, Tau, Eldar, Dark Eldar, & Necrons.)

The High Ground for me: Any Veteran equipped with a Bolter and M.45 Targeter may leave the unit and move Independently from the rest of the unit for the remainder of the game. This unit cannot join any other units
for the duration of the game.

New Blood Angels Chaplain...

Ohhh...myyyyy....EMPEROR...

I have read the codex...it is truely an awesome site...

HQ's are a bit pricey...ie each would cost about a Land Raider...Seth is cheaper...but no power weapons...but hey Strenght 8...with rending...be great against armour...Death Company Tyco fills and HQ spot and can kill everything...haha

Also...

Death Company Troops...30 guys can give you 6 DC dreads...but with only 6 troop slots...one squad of DC of 30 guys and 5 DC dread...haha..death to all...

I like the new Dreadnought Lightning claw verson...if you take two...for every unsaved wound you get another attack in...haha

But I wont lie...what I missed when the 4th Edition marines went to the 5th Edition...I lost my I5 Chaplain with 3 attacks and 3 wounds...

I GET HIM BACK...WITH A VENGENCE...any chaplain attached to a DC squad not only gets to re-roll hits...but since they are sooo freakin insane they get to re-roll wounds too...haha

granted no rending but still...THEY GUYS ARE INSANE...WHO NEEDS RENDING WHEN YOU ARE INSANE...haha

Gawd that is so awesome...then regular Chaplains are an elite choice...but really...why not pay the extra 30 points an HQ and clear up an Elite slot for something with more wounds and attacks...and a bigger bite like a Furioso Libby Dread guy with a Force Weapon and one of those Lightning claw strenght 6 thingies...haha...also it would be Strenght 7 on the charge because of Furious Charge too...haha

I have gotten that new Venerable Dreadnought...

and I have it set up with the finger style power hand and heavy flamer and then the other weapons are all set up for swaping out...

I then took my Iron Clad dreads CCW arm and cut off the fingers and glued the other power weapon hand from the venerable to the front of it and then used that arm for my first dread and threw on two different venerable front peices to make a new one and made him into a Furiso Dread...looks pretty cool...I am thinking of painting him black and making him into a Death Company verson as the front really looks like someone would wear if they are locked in eternal crazyness...

I just need to figure out a way to get 2 DCCW weapons onto my Ironclad again...4 Strenght 10 hits on the charge is always a good thing...haha

Well sorry for the lack of updates I am still a bit peturbed about me having to take down the BA codex last month...I guess since I am not the voice over at Warseer GW gets all angry about it...

Played a few games over the past few weeks...Last Monday was the closest one for a tie or loss for me...came down to the last turn I had two guys left in a Tact squad and had them run behind the base for Capture and Control...and my own base was contested by one of my tact squads or what was left of it and one of the other guys BA Dreads and 5 man Assault Squad...

You would be amazed at how well those Grey Knight Termintators work...but you would also be amazed at how many armour saves I have failed with them...it is sad...haha

Ok I have been a slacker pretty much with all of Feb...but I have an excuse I got injured doing somethings and I am at about 60-80% on a good day...we wont even say where I am on a bad day...hahaha

but none the less I got a few free minutes so seeing it is Friday...

And now I will enjoy a Saturday that I drop off my daughter...

To be honest I do not enjoy a day like that...watching her leave with her mom really gets to me...but I know that I will see her the next Wed...so I go on with my day...

But on the bright side is after I drop off my daughter I am heading to the FLGS for an Apoc game...and I am bring out the Marines...Roughly Translated One Full Battle Company...and a Crusader Army that comes out to be over 10k worth of Marines and points...that is also not including the Space Wolves I have...which most are painted...I think I can squeeze out 2k worth of Wolves on Foot to take the brunt of the first wave...

I found out last night that I have 25 SM Terminators and 5 more SW terminators...I am thinking of Teleporting most of them down in the rear of the enemies armour and ripping into them with Storm Bolters and Thunder Hammer/Chainfist Combos...haha

But I guess I will see how well I do tomorrow...Because I dont even know if I will get a teammate or will it be me against the store...haha

Another Win against the Wolves of Fernis

Silly wolves with their Leadership 8...I dropped my Sternguard squad and Terminators and brought in a Grand Master and 4 Grey Knight Terminators...Threw them in a Crusader with Cassius attached to the unit and it was a hard hitting unit indeed...Unfortantly I left the unit to far to the right to kill a lot of stuff but the 3 units they did touch all died before they finally got killed off one at a time over the course of the the 5 turn game...haha

4 Tact Squads in Rhinos, 2 Sniper Squads with Telion, an Iron Clad Dread, Crusader with Cassius the GK Termies ate up my 2k list...but they held their own and the snipers were a great distraction...I was able to distract two Grey Hunter squads with one 5 man sniper squad in the woods for 4 turns...by the time he took one of them for his own home objective which was contested by me and holding my own with no issues the game was about over...

He was down to about 12 Grey Hunters through out his whole army and 10 or so blood claws and the Grey Hunters were strung out between 3 squads...all I lost was the command squad and a squad and a half of Tactical marines with those scouts in the woods...1/3 of my army to a majority of his...

But he was a great sport about it...and seeing that he is still learning the game he made a few mistakes but the rolling was not in his favor in that game at all...

Also I got a good chuck of my supplies I think I will be needing to make my first Warhound Titan...Hopefully I can start on it this week...but I will see how it goes...

Well another week has gone by...another week older...another week wiser...

For example I found a new project...something to do on the side of all my painting and what not...

Titans...

of course everyone does a titan or two on their blogs...but the only ones that show a finished ones are usually the ones from FW...not the Scratch built ones...and seeing that I am on an extremely tight budget...I would have to do a scratch built one...

Lets see if I can actually finish one...haha

The New BA Codex Games

Well last Saturday I got two games in with that Leaked Verson of the new Blood Angels codex...I dont care if it is not the actually thing...heck I doubt it myself...

It is more or less the Regular Space Marine codex only real difference is the Assault Marines are now troops...scouts are now I think Elites...but scoring...so on and so forth...The Veterans are just as many power weapon weilding maniacs...and the honour guard are an upgrade from the veterans meaning you just buy the tech preist, sang priest and banner man...

First game it was a 3 on 3...and I took Seth which gave everyone in my army FC, Rage and something else...which means if you take Seth make sure you take Tactical guys in a rhino and do not let them out or they run away from the objectives...luckly I had two other team mates to sit on them while I just tore into the other three armies...a necron, a Chaos marine, and an IG player...I killed with my list over 1/2 of the other armies...combined...it was awesome...but on the flip side when the game ended I was down to Seth and his honour guard and about 3 assault marines...haha...and none of the Honour guard were dead...came in on that Storm Harbinger on turn 3 or 4...and ate stuff...

Second game was a 2 on 2...Brought in that Librarian Dread from a Drop Pod...killed half a squad of necrons with powers and then got eaten alive by two tomb spiders...who were both down to one wound a piece...then the assault squads came in and well...they called the game on lack of time...sure we had about an hour before they closed...I hate it when they do that...just finish the game...I would finish the game if you were smacking me around too...

Soo...Honestly I still took my two tact squads and all in all the only real difference from my lists is less Tact Squads and more Assault Squads...and I brought in more power weapons in one squad then my army has in general...haha...

There were not exact prices or points up...a generalized rule idea...nothing word for word...

But hey I am just surprised I got it about 3 hours after I first posted that...

Had a decent week so far...got 4 full tactial squads painted up and ready to go...painted up shoulder pads so the different companies...3 5th company squads and 1 6th company squad...4 rhinos were also painted up and ready to go...

Which means I should have a whole company of marines done sometime before april at this rate...But this would mean I would not have my Assault Marines for the BA codex release in March...or whenever it comes out...

Thought ahead on this one...Why not use the same paint scheme....haha

Well I have 4 Tactical Squads painted up and ready to go as of this morning around 4 am...This includes 5 Sargs to choose from and 5 Heavy Weapon marines painted up and ready to go...

on top of the other 11 guys already painted up...gives me a total of 42 Marines painted up and ready to go...I would love to post a picture of the basic Table Top Marines for everyone that actually follows this blog...

but the camera battery is charging and so is the cell phone...haha

Sooo...31 Marines equals 31 points to add to the total...

I also have 5 Rhinos ready for a paint job over their primer colors...I think I might meet my goal by April for this entire year...haha

Wait you say...I thought you were on a winning streak...Well against most armies at the worse I can pull out a draw...but nids...nids seems to be my one real bane...I am more or less forced to take a powerfist just to force a wound on those monsterous creatures...T6 for most of them...

Now I know if you are reading this you are thinking...Quit complaining...or what about Warriors and bla bla bla they are all T4...

Sure I will agree...but the three nid players around here...they do not play T4 armies...the only thing less then a T5 in their armies are the swarms...Not even my Multi-meltas can instant kill a T6 guy...unless they are on their last wound...and that is another thing...T6 with 4 or more wounds...really...what the heck man...and then they poop out whole squads of swarms every turn if possible that can move...shoot and assault the same turn they come in...REALLY...COMMON MAN...and you can have three of those things on the field too...that is just a funny wrong...

And then their is their Psyhic Powers...past the test you can make a Squad WS and BS 1 now...oh my gawd...I just went from hitting thist Giant monster on a 4 to a 5...not a whole lot I know but when your tactical marines only have 1 attack anyway...no matter what...those 9 hits just went from maybe 5 to maybe 3...then I need a 6 just to wound you...yeah thanks a lot mr psyhicer...gawd...haha

But I had a fun game tonight...took out quite a few monsterous creatures...and their body guards...unfortantly it was an Loot Counters game... came out to a 2 to 1 victory for the nids...half my army did their job...the other half got slaughtered whole sale...haha...and to top it all off I did not relize I had 4 elite choices in my army until after the game...2 dreads, 1 sternguard squad and 1 terminator squad...stupid stupid stupid...haha...it was ok though...I lost both dreads to one of the Monsterous Creatures...took both of them...one being a Venerable to take him out...but boy did we...haha

I just need to come up with a list that can handle such a large number of those MC's in one go...

Does anyone have any Ideas of what weapons I can use from the Space Marine codex that might help against the new Nid codex...HAha...

Also I should have another 20 Bolter Marines set up and finished by the end of the month...not Special or Heavy Weapons...just regular Bolter Marines...I want to have enough of these guys done to have a Battle Company...all I need are 2 Assault Squads...26 Bolter Marines (7 per tact squad and 6 per dev squad) then paint up all my Heavy Weapons as Ultra Templar...4 more rhinos as I have two Drop Pods set up and ready to go...at the rate I am pumping these guys out for Table Top Ready...I can actually have it done before the Blood Angels come out...

Now if only I had the money for 4 more rhinos and 20 assault marines...haha

Thunderfire Cannon...Finally Painted...

Well I was thinking the other day...I have a Techmarine I am painting up but dear gawd he looks like shit to the extreme...period...but I still have my Thunderfire Cannon and Techmarine there...

Sooo I was thinking...why not dry brush him with some chainmail after priming it like I did my Iron Warriors and see where it goes...and actually I am kinda happy with him...no major details as my detail brush has been replaced by something else...hell if I know what it is...haha...looks like a brush but no where close to my detail brush...

So here are some pictures...

I will run this as just a Dreadnought, Monsterous Creature...get a whole 5 points out of it...

Also I am working on another Tactial Squad should be done by tomorrow night...

Well...well...well...

Man I love being a Dad...watching my daughter grow up...her speech patterns growing...so on and so forth every day I spend with me daughter is a day I just enjoy way to much...

Then the days I do not have her...bleh...dont get me wrong I have a great hobby to keep me occupied at times...but seriously...I hate the time between the two...Either I am with my daughter or I am gaming...great...happy happy joy joy...my friends that dont play are good guys to hang out with...great drinking buddies...kids of their own...Gaming people themselves but they stick with the gaming consoles...

Kinda wish they played 40k as well...But they do not...so I have to wait till every other Saturday...drive 30-40 minutes one way for 2 games...have a blast and go home...come back on sunday get a game or two in...go home...monday nights I get 1 game in at 2k...the other 2 or 4 games over the weekend wont break 1500...1750 if I am really lucky...haha

I have no idea where this post was going...haha

Going to give them one last whirl before the New Codex comes out...

Soo the list I will be trying out this coming up Monday Night is an almost pure Troop Choice list...

Dante will be tagging along with an Honour Guard which include a Priest a Rabbi and...haha...no I am kidding...

This gives me 30+ assault marines

Lemartes runs around with the DC guys and the Dreads walk forward the best they can...which would be right at the enemy...they are the walking targets...this allows the other two Assault Squads to jump into the fight and counter attack with Dante and his power weapons...

The two Tactical squads would work along the lines of Objective grabing...if it is Capture and Control they both sit behind the objective the entire game as the Assault Marines kill kill kill...last turn if needed turn and get onto objective...works great with my Vanilla Marines...but with this list I have 2 Rhinos instead of one...so it should double my effectiveness...or run one of the Rhinos at their base and add that man troop to claiming objectives...I might drop a Rhino for a Drop Pod for one of the Dreads...to help out where it lands and wrecks havoc...

if it is a flat out Annilation game then everyone moves fowards and kills before they are killed...I already have most of the players plans known...and they know mine...ie move and assault...haha...but none the less it is a tried and true method...

But I need to break off a few flamers and fix up some guys so I wont be proxying anything monday night...haha

Force Organization Chart
Blood Angel FOC is divergant from the Ultramarine one:
-Dreadnoughts are heavy support.
-Furioso Dreads with droppods are fast attack.
-Twin scout entries are both elites, but one is scoring.
-Only dedicated ground transport is the Rhino (Razorbacks are out)
-Assault Squad and Tactical Squad are troops.
-Honour Guard can be troops if fielded with Dante.
-Jump pack units are in every FOC category except heavy support and HQ:

haha...actually it was annilation 12 to 10...but the 12 was my entire army...haha

stupid nids and their stupid Monsterous Creatures...Had my Chaplain assault but a Tyrant and some guard at the last turn...makes all his Invuln saves from the Tyrant...and in his Terminator Armour fails 2 armour saves...stupid lash-thingies making me initivite 1...haha

But I finally lost...and you know what...I feel like I did a great job...took out half the monsterous creatures and 6 full squads of little guys...haha

"I AM INVINISBLE..." Now I will be the first to say I am not even close to one of the best players in the world...but as of late there is no competition...Do not get me wrong I would not doubt if tomorrows game if I can get one in...I would loose literally everyone but a scout...haha...

But todays last game it was 2 on 2...my Marines and orks vs Deathwing Terminators and Chaos Marines...I lost one Tactical Marine...I killed literally everything on my half of the board...plus the other half infront of me...and started on the other guys chaos stuff when the Deathwing guy said he was down to a Dreadnought and was calling it...

-Seems like it could be fun...

Angels Sanguine Chapter Master Toledo: Rage and Fleet instead of Combat Tactics and Blood Rage.

Flesh Tearers Chapter Master Seth: Is in...

Sanguinary High Priest HQ: unit has: W:2 and grants a Rage (Blood Rage??) radius.

Captain Erasmus Tycho: 3+ Dodge save, Pride special rule and no Blood Rage.

Up to 8 Dreadnoughts: (2 Named HQ dreads if you play a mix of Flesh Tearers/Blood Angels), 6 normal FOC dreads possible.

Quick and tabletop ready...literally...haha

I seem to be running my Sarges for the Ultra Templar with a Powerfist and Plasma Pistol...both seem to make their points back within 2 turns or so...sooo I see no need to swap out items as of yet...

Basic idea of a Squad is a Sarge w/Powerfist, Plasma Pistol, 9 more guys a Melta and a Heavy Bolter...or a Multi-Melta if I am facing more then one Land Raider...or more then two tanks...I hate tanks...and tanks hate me Double D6...haha everyone wins...except those tanks...

Also Jawaballs is right a Baal Predator can take out a Land Raider...I dont know if I said that the other day...or heck if I told you about my game against the Blood Angels guy...Turn one...I lost my Land Raider to Rending...I was shocked...and amazed...but hey if you can't afford to loose the vehcale then you probably did not need to bring it...haha...Still won the game but it made the game that much closer...haha

Here's something with some meat to pick at rather than what we were left with in previous threads when they got locked. I got this from The.Justinian at the BoLS Lounge. Sources seem to be a congolmeration of several including Bolter And Chainsword, Warseer and others mentioned below.

1) It turned out that most of the Tyranid stuff from Germany was true. I think We can think of this as preview, some of it wrong, most of it right.Either someone is very good at taking snippets and piecing them together without making mistakes, or has learned how to pick through GW's garbage exceptionally well.

2) I'm going to take this data and conjecture what we can about the likely army list unless there's an FOC modulation as there was with SWolf HQ's.

I'm doing this to project what we know, what we have from the rumors, and what we are sure to be pushed to buy into a coherent whole. I'm trying to leverage the unique points of BA as I recall them...in the SW dex everything that was special about the wolves got its amps turned up to eleven. We have no reason to think otherwise.

Call this a wishlist if you like. I call it an intelligence assessment.

Dante- As is now but axe will be +1S. Can take an honor guard assault squad.
Lemartes- Can restrain the Death company.

Land Speeder Storm with (at least) fluff on scouts riding to hackzone in it. Possible rule allowing scouts to disembark/assault on turn of landing (I believe that Codex marines can't?). Conjecture: Possible ability to squad up LSS's. Possible rule allowing cerebus launcher to affect other nearby squads.
Furioso Dread, has fleet, maybe hellhound template projection ability (or upgrade to it).
(possibility of Baal pred here when unlocked by a character)
Scout bikers with a (conjectural) heavy flamer option.
Bikers with a Heavy flamer option, maybe an attack bike with some kind of large template weapon.
The rumored flying vehicle. I'm very incredulous that this will show up personally, but if it does I call a 'baby thawk' that'll transport tac squads (perhaps only 5/6 models) and have weaponry along the lines of 2 MLs and TLAC. Will definitely have the iconic D-Day landing craft meme-ramp if it does.

And my Camera Battery is dead...and my cell phone is charging...son of a...

Well none the less I finally painted up my last 5 sniper scouts as well as my Ironclad Dreadnought...all for the Ultra Templar Chapter...this will give me two sniper bases to shoot from if needed...

But none the less I got them painted up for Jan's points...I might get another tact squad started this month...hopefully...

also as I write this post my Cell Phone is done charging so how about some quick shots...

On a Roll of Awesome Dice...

Well lately my games were a bit of a hit or miss...either I tied or got all our slaughtered...so like many people I bought a new set of dice as my awesome dice set were dying on my more then I would like them to...

and low and behold since last monday back in 2009 against a Chaos Khorne List with Kharn himself at 2000 points against my Ultra Templar 2000 point list...all I lost was 4 assault marines my Chaplain in Terminator Armour and that was it...whole...sale...slaughter...I even attacked the Chaos guys...it was great...haha

Kharn jumped out of the Land Raider as the Drop Pod came down and got hit with a Melta shot point blank and 16 some odd rapid fire bolters...it was awesome...why so much focused fire on one guy...well first off I had a Kharn model...painted up quite nice too thank you...and he was a beast in Close Combat...whole squads would die painfully...second...well the land raider just got popped by my Crusaders Multi-Melta and wrecked...then to top it all off...the squad of Bezekers right next to him were also rapid fired to death so he was the only target in range...it was fun...

The other day on Saturday I went up against a Necron Player who does the Warith Wing of doom...tied them up with an Ironclad Dread for 4 turns as my other guys took out the warriors...it was fun...we made it to the end of turn 5 I finished off the last of his 75% of guys thus making him phase out...so no need to roll for turn 6...haha

Next game was against him and another necron player...with me and a Nid guy and another SM player...3k vs 3k...lets just say Telion and their snipers made their due back by taking out a whole squad of heavy destroyers turn one...turn two they finished off the destroyers...turn three the other heavy destroyers...turn 4 anything they could shoot at...it was great...my 138 points really made them selves back up...3+ cover save for the win...haha...once again able to phase him out...but at the end of turn 4...both of them at the sametime...Drop Pods are my new favorite item of doom...rapid fire into the warriors and laugh at them as the remaining ones get assault by assault terminators...haha

Sundays game was a 3 way battle royal...one how these work two guys duke it out and the third comes in for the win or it turns out to be a 2 on 1 game...well this one was not...nids vs chaos vs me and my awesome marines...haha

chaos was able to take out two monsterous creatures I took out another one...and finished off chaos as chaos took out a tactical squad...scouts shooting the hell out of everything...it was great...

I tied with the nids that game...

Last Night was a blast as well...2k Me vs 2k BT...it was capture and controll the other guys base one...I even brought in some assault marines for the killing in close combat...all they did was use bolt pistols and the plasma pistol in the squad...(he died by the way...) but by the end of the game I had my scouts and sternguard still in my base and my entire army that was left (which was a lot) in his...only thing left of his on the field was a wrecked dreadnought and his Marshall and command squad in a Razorback racing towards my base to contest it...unfortantly I forgot to move my entire army the second turn so we had to go the whole five rounds...haha

dont worry...he forgot to move his razorback on turn 4...haha

no really I do...I had my daughter last night so this was my first sober New Years in ohhh...since I was old enough to drink really...haha...and I dont mean 21 either...haha

but none the less HAPPY NEW YEAR...

made it all through 2009 without being shot at once...except in video games...and boy did my Marines get shot at...a lot...haha

and the new Decade starts tomorrow...or would that actually be 2011 that the decade would start...ehhh no worries either way...

I feel as though I have painted a good bit of my marines up this year...meet my goal of 1500 points worth of Ultra Templar painted and ready to go...3 tact squads of Soul Drinkers were painted up and more marines then you could shake a stick at were assembled...haha

So for 2010 I am going to be trying to jump on the point system of painting as well...

my goal will be 120 points for the year...or rougly 10 points a month...which is a tact squad a month or a rhino...haha

The formula
I obviously won't be painting exactly the same proportion number of infantry, cavalry, monster and vehicle models so I need a way to compare one set of models to another. Here is the formula I came up with.

•Infantry = 1 point
•Cavalry or bikes = 2 points
•Monster or Dreadnought = 5 points
•Vehicle = 10 points
•Superheavy vehicle = 20 points
My aim for 2009 is to score 100 points or more.

so yeah this is a quote from the Lone Pilgram painting blog...soo my goal as of 2010 is going to be 120 points...and when the blood angels come out the Infantry count should go up 20+ points right there from my assault marines...haha...man my assault marines better be troop choices or I will be pissed...haha

Always doing something and every chance I get to escape the house to get down to the FLGS I get stopped at the last minute with something that can clearly wait another day to do...

so in other words I have not played a game in almost a month now...but I should be able to get a game or two in tomorrow with one of my friends at his house...

My Space Marine Ultra Templar army is painted up to a 1500 point army...but I dont plan on stopping there...my plan is to have a whole battle company...or atleast a few tact squads and one assault squad...and powerfist galor in this army...Both Tact squads painted up have a powerfist sarge...on top of the Sternguards sarge having on and then the Terminators having one base price...always enjoyable...but think about it a powerfist is what 25 points right...a terminator is 40 points...you are paying 15 points for a veteran in a 2+ armour...sternguard I think go out at 20-25 points I dont have the codex right here but I am somewhat sure it is 25 points a piece...haha

But none the less I have two drop pods painted up for the army...plus the crusader...all ready to go but tomorrow I am playing at 2000 points so I am going to be short 500 points...maybe I will use another Crusader and an assault termie squad...eat up those orks...silly orks...haha

Not to mention my Soul Drinkers I am sitting on 3 tact squads painted up and ready to go...on top of Cassius painted up like Chaplain Iktinos I may paint over his face and paint it all white like a skull instead of the half-metal/half-flesh tone it is right now...as Iktinos never takes his helmet off...

Also the Sarpdon conversion is going along decently...not one of the best ones out there but if you know the chapter then you would know who he is by taking one quick look...but like I have said I need to figure out how to make The Hell work in game terms...I think the necrons decievers power would work the best I just need to upgrade it a bit to make it even better...

But hopefully around the end of next month I can be back up and playing more 40k as well as back at the job full-time...haha

HAHA...awesome I know right...it is a two-for-one type deal including me having my daughter this entire weekend...the only major catch was she was with her mom from 4pm on the 24th till 2pm today...

so I slept in till 1 so I would not be down and bummed out that I was not with my daughter...it kinda helped that I played Assassins Creed 2 (early present from my little sister) till 5 am...I dozed off for a second and woke up to a bunch of dead guards laying around my characters body...hahah

...At that point I knew it was time for bed...haha

Yeah I forgot...haha...

spent the morning finishing up the Sternguard for the Ultra Templar...white helmets is a hard thing to do over black primer...also I primed up my Drop Pod...then I picked up my daughter from Preschool...and I just now stopped...at 1am...she went to bed at 9pm friday night...so no one jump my case...haha

Just stuff to do around the house and help out my family...

Well The Ultra Templar Chapter is coming along...I thought I would put some time into them as the Soul Drinkers have been getting all my attention as of late...sooo

UPDATE TIME...

Ultra Templar have a Chapter Master now...haha...Storm Bolter, Relic Blade...pic later

They also have a 10 Man Tactical Squad finished...Serge has Plasma Pistol, Powerfist, the Squad gets a melta and a Missile Launcher...

Also an old school Crusader with the metal guns has been repainted into the Ultra Templar colors...Black and Blue...

And the Sternguard are coming along nicely...

The Sarge I think came out pretty darn good actually...haha...

The Rest of the Squad is being finished up right now so their pics will come later with the Chapter Master...

No really I do...I dropped my daughter off at school around 8ish this morning came back home and threw on a quick paint job on a 10 man squad of Ultra Templar...they were from when I first started back in the begining of 4th edition...haha...10 guys includes a meltagun, ML, Sarge w/PF and Plasma Pistol...not half bad...but the Missile Launcher guy needs a lot of love...and new torso...and new Missile Launcher...luckly I have a few around in my bits container...I just need him for his legs really..haha

Well I am posting this and going back to bed...I have not been sleeping well and the house is actually quite so I am going to take full advantage of this...

HAHA...well as I was up till 530 this morning...and could not sleep I finished up Sarpdon's Conversion...only a 7 legged freak...but his bionic leg is the only thing missing...Gave him an Axe and a Bolter...Bolt Pistol on his side if needed..Helmet on the other side under his bolter arm...

Well none the less two quick shots from my Camera Phone...one from the Front and another from the top side to see the base underneath him...and no he is not glued on yet...

Sarpdon Conversion

Ok I had the idea when the Soul Drinkers first Omnibus came out and ripped through it like a hot knife threw butter...but at the time I was happy camper and newly married and had no time for conversions...much less paint any of the models I had glued together at 2am in the morning as my 1 yr old daughter slept...

Fast forward to a few months ago I was reading a blog I go to every now and then and low and behold the man was making a Sarpdon conversion...similar to what I was thinking...only better...haha...

But hey that does not mean no one else can make a conversion of their own...using a similar technique as the other guy I went about doing my own...

Using a Nids body...one of the smaller gaunts I think I cut off some arms from another two and glued them to the body...cut off the head and neck...For the Torso I used a Company Champions Body as well as a helmet less head...as Sarpdon throughout the books would always lead without his helmet on unless the situation demanded it. So I glued on a helmet that I will paint up for if he needs to use it...haha

Quick updates and what not...

First off...what is it...23 days till Christmas...thankfully I had started Christmas shopping for my daughter in August...so I have about half a dozen presents for her...which is a good thing as I have not been able to go back to the office...which sucks as a giant paycheck would be perfect...le sigh on the lack of job...But thankfully I have unemployement which helps pay the bills...

But I have gotten back my Land Raider Crusader...and man am I loving that thing...move 12 inches...fire both Hurrican Bolters and either the multi-melta or assault cannon...but not both of them...or move 6 inches and fire every weapon I have on that thing at two targets...it is great...throw in some assault terminators with a Chaplain and let the power weapons roll...haha

Also on a side note...Some of you may have relized I have a truck load of other 40k Blogs on the right side of my own blog here...if you have one that is not on this list...email me at jokerjr101@yahoo.com with some sort of title in the message about this blog so I won't mark it as spam...and I will be more then happy to add you to the ever growing list...I may be a small blog but every window helps...haha

Last thing

Got in two games last night...both 2k games each...

First one was my Soul Drinkers vs Black Templar...halfway through turn one I relized...holy shit this is a battle of two second foundings of the Imperial Fist right here...I then pointed that out and Steven said...well heck man I am going to be doing a Crimson Fist army soon and the other guy is going to be doing an Imperial Fist army...I said heck yeah...and we got back to the game...

ended up being a tie...would have lost a lot more had the Heibrich and his 10-14 man squad gotten out of their Crusader and ripped into my Soul Drinkers...haha

Second one was against the same guy but we switched armies...He went with his orks and I went with Space Wolves...lets just say the Wolf Scouts with Sniper Rifles paid for themselves as well as Bjorn and the other Venerable Dreadnought...but there was one Mad Doc...and that SOB would not die...his entire squad died...but then would not die himself...then to add insult to injury he joined another squad...luckly he ran out of turns and KP I won 12-6...silly orks thinking they could kill Wolves...haha

I will try to get some pictures of the Crusader later this week and the four rhinos for my Soul Drinkers but now that I have them painted I have a reason to paint up the rest of Soul Drinker army and start on that conversion of the Spider Commander Man guy...thingy...haha...Sharpdon that is it...haha

I had noticed that my Iron Warriors when I play them against my other Loyalist army versons (Sons of Baal, Soul Drinkers, and Ultra Templar) they come out on top...and I think that is awesome...of course I play the Iron Warriors and my brother ends up playing my armies as his has not yet arrived via a trade from Rogue Market...ehh no worries though...

sooo...In rememberence of this awesome act of wanton destruction and violence...haha

I think I have made a point about this but you know what I got some time to think as I drive down the road not really paying attention to anything in particular...

I relized a 2k list of the 10th company would actually do some real damage

Fluff wise too...

Think about it for a second...

6 - ten man squads of scouts...maxed out 3 with 10 snipers and the other 3 as assault scouts...I think my math came out to be about 850 points...and that I think includes Telion model a power fist in two of those assault squads and Heavy Bolters with Hellfire rounds in the sniper squads...base of 6 troop choices or up to 12 choices...you can barely do that in a 2k game with regular Space Marines...in a 2k game with scouts you still have another 1000 points for DOOOM...haha

OK THEN to the list of awesomeness...fluff wise too...

There would be no terminators...or sternguards...take that out of your mind first off...about the only people in power armour will be the HQ and his guys...but hey if we have the points we can work it in somewhere...haha

...and yes this is legal as the Relic Blade is not a two handed weapon per-say and you already loose the extra attack in close combat from the SS...thus no harm no foul...the grenade launcher allows him a shot in the shooting phase if he needs it...

But that is 60 scouts right there...haha...and that is the marine horde army...fires like a Imperial Guard army but hits like a Marine Army...haha...now if only I could get them Chimeras...haha

Got a few games in earlier this week...at 1am my mind was not working and I was thinking that my Weapon Skill 5 against a Weapon Skill 4 I would need a 3 to hit...IE strenght 5 weapon against well you see where I am going with this...

I am lucky enough to live 30 or so odd minutes away from not one but two locations where I can play 40k with two different sets of people...

But here is the catch...

Catch one...where I started playing is just my little group of people...8 people tops...nice little group but at times can be as little as 3 people on a given play day...which can suck a bit...

Catch two...the second location has a minimum of 6 people show up...for use of just 2 tables...great I know but rarely do I get a chance to play a 1 on 1 up there...Then to top it all off...the dreaded store rules...Ok I honestly have no issue with Store Rules if they are fun...but they go to the extreme...a basic example is this

Craters...

If there is a crater on the field...I am on the other side of it...farthest point away from you but still on the lip of the crater...but not in the crater...would I not get a cover save anyway...lets say 1 or 2 guys are in the crater...but for the most part I am on the other side of said crater...

Would I not get the cover save from that...I say yes as the lip is sitting right there covering me...most would agree...I mean sure if I am on your side of the crater right there point blank why would I...but other side...yes of course I would...Catch 2 store says this about craters...

"While they may be showing raised on the table itself one must think that since it is a crater it is in the table itself and thus you must be inside the said crater to get said cover save..."

ok last time I checked...even used old war photos...craters went up into the air...just like a crater would in the 40k game itself...what the heck people...really...

While the first store we are much more laid back...yes a few play to win and win alone...but in all honesty we are there for fun and games...a few jokes some laughs...etc...store 2...is all about the books...TO THE EXTREME...MUHAHAHAHAHA type stuff...dont get me wrong rules are great...but jesus man I am a 1/4 from range with rapid fire and I just gave it to you a second ago when you shot at my guys...what do you mean I am still short...fine whatever...say Hi to mr assault cannon...

They have 3 people up there that will move something with their rulers too...yeah that dread is in range of the melta rule of thumb...it is too...no I did not just pull him 1/2 forward to make sure he was in range...

Or my favorite...hide in a fortifyed building with two windows...ok both windows have a heavy weapon guy in it...sure shoot with them...no issues here...wait what do you mean I am in rapid fire range of the 4 other bolter marines up there...it is a window...1 guy...I just did that a few seconds ago from my own building...wait my building is a ruins now...how did that happen...you never shot at it...what do you mean it has been from the begining...wait all of them have been...then how come you get a 3+ cover save...oohhhh... techmarine rule...gotcha...well the only techmarine on your field is my guy and I sure as hell did not do it...

gawd I hate when they change it from a building to a ruin...that one really pisses me off...

Store 2...kinda kills the fun for me...if I am looking for a giant game sure I will head that way...but I wont be expecting much...

I might be joining a campaign later today...in about 12 hours time...ha ha silly sleep...

Come to find out it is a 2k army list...and I don't normally get past 1500 points in any game unless it is purely for shits and giggles...where upon I just throw in some tester units like my Thunderfire Cannon...which I really do love now...haha...Or even my two Land Speeders I have...nice little unit there...AV10 on both don't help though...ha ha

But none the less I am all for it...even if I don't win...Which I will not...as I play for fun...if I win...heck yeah...if not...darn I learned something new though...but the people I am going to go up against in this campaign of sorts from what I hear are Tourney people...I am going to get trounced...hard...in placed no one has ever entered before...cause well it is exit only...ha ha

With literally everything on this list I think it comes out to 2165 points...IE the Wolf Lord up there...haha...drop him to make it an even 2k list...

The Wolf Guard will Split up a bit...
The Blood Claws get the Rune Priest with Living Lightning for Guidance...
The Wold Guard w/Cyclone Missile Launcher will go with the Long Fangs after they park their Razorback...
The 2 Wolf Guard in Power armour will attach to the 9 man squads of Grey Hunters
The Wolf Guard w/Power Fist, Heavy Flamer will run with the 10 man squad of Grey Hunters for just pure killing power...
The 6 Wolf Guard Left will run with the Rune Priest in Terminator Armour for a heavy hitting unit...or split into two 3 man squads if the Wolf Lord is in Game...but more then likely the Wolf Lord and Rune Priest will swap out as needed per army I will be facing...

The Lone Wolf will run around and kill stuff and pretty much just be a mini-tar pit as needed...the wolves gives him an extra 2 wounds on top of him and his Feel no pain and Eternal Warrior...which is just sick for 20 points base cost...but mine runs at 105 for all his goodies...if I wanted a bit cheaper I would swap out for a set of Wolf Claws...just wish I could give him a Wolf tooth Necklace...ha ha I would have 3 of these guys running around and no other elite choices...haha...but I am getting off base here...

Long Fangs will probably sit back on the edge and take pot shots with their Heavy Weapons...worse case I might be as far forward as possible...probably in some cover of some sort

Predator Tank will be close by and with that set up be able to pick three different targets...or worse case focus fire on one main target...

The Thunderwolf Cavalry are there for their 12" assault range of DOOOOM...haha...2 power weapons and an insane wulfen should do some damage on the charge...6 Power Weapon hits on the charge, 6 Strenght 6 Power Weapon hits on the charge and D6+1 rending hits on the charge to top it all off...that should hurt something somewhere...ha ha

After this is all said and done this will be my first 2k list without even one Land Raider...or any Rhinos what-so-ever...

Mostly because I have a guy painting up my Crusader and 4 Rhinos in Soul Drinker colors...I need to pick those things up from him...it has been 2 months...and that is kinda sad...as I painted up my Land Raider for my Iron Warriors in what...30-45 minutes...and it does not look half-bad...not going to win an award...but that is not what he was painted for...ha ha

If you guys see where I can fix this list I am more then willing to listen to any and all criticism...

Did you ever notice that when you first get something you look around...and within a matter or weeks everyone else has one...

My first car was when I noticed this...I hit 15...and was driving my 86 Grand Am...being a year older then my car...it was a grand ol time...but then I noticed other grand ams of the same design...what the heck...

Moving on with life...I got my first brand new car...04 Saturn Ion 1...I was estactic...then everyone else got one...haha...but that one was somewhat explainable...new series of car...great gas milage...plenty of room everywhere in the car...so on and so forth...heck while I was married I made my wife get one of those instead of a Honda...stupid hondas...(I was working at AutoZone at the time and saw enough Hondas at work...)

Newest Vechile is a 94 Jeep Cheerokee...4wd...inline 6 cyclinder...great jeep all around...now everyone has a jeep...but I live in the mountains...soooo nothing new there...

But as a few know I am working on my own Chaos Army...Iron Warriors

and I have hit the 1k Mark with points alone...and as I worked on my painting...which I would say has improved greatly by the way...everyone is doing Iron Warriors now...son of a...

Ok...like my last post said finally got some stuff done...

I have two squads of Chaos Marines five men a peice...one has a flamer in it...and that squad gets the Aspiring Champion with the Power Fist

Squad two is the one with the Power Sword in it and a Combi-Weapon as well for the Champion...

Chaos Lord is the Basic Warsmith Model...but I guess he would have a Powerfist and Combi-Weapon to go with him

Come to find out I dont even break a 300 point mark with this army here...haha

I have a few more Chaos Marine models to paint up...but after that all that is left is the terminators...this army won't even break 750 I am thinking...but hey...there is always time to add to them...haha

Worse case...my Soul Drinkers can take up a few spots and play the part as Chaos Marines as well...haha

What is that you say...WHERE ARE THOSE IRON WARRIORS...

Well it is 3:30 am and my first one is finished on top of my Leman Russ that I have been sitting on since...oh they first came out with the three new guns...haha

Also a few pictures of Saturday's Game of my 2k SM army of Soul Drinkers against a 1k army of Nurgles Finest and another SM player of DOOOOM...haha...silly loyalist...

This is a Picture of my Chapter Master running with who is left after 3 squads I slaughtered...I lost two men out of the squad but I killed more then enough of their men...and after this picture was taken I took out two more squads...The Chapter Master was getting pissed...he never got to hit a thing...the multiple Twin-Lightning Claws on the charge killed a lot of stuff...

I MEAN A LOT OF STUFF...

At one point I had a 10 man tact squad get charged by a 7 man nurgle squad...I went whole sale slaughter on him...after he attacked I threw my 11 attacks back at his toughness 5 and said...there take your 6 hits back...well he killed 4 right there...haha it was sad...but he was fearless so I did not get to sweep him off the board right there...which ment I spent two more turns on 2 guys...it was sad to finally finish him off and have no one left to attack...haha

Towards another spot I ran into every other nurgle guy there was in reach...plus the deamon prince...so more or less threw guys into the grinder...and boy did I die by the droves...luckly they were all combat squads and I would only loose a guy or two per squad per round...so leadership tests were a bit easy...

But my Cassius Model made a big difference against that Deamon Prince...Sternguard all died but the Sergeant on the first turn...and then he never got to hit anything...should have used him on the Deamon Prince as I used him on a squad of plauges and killed the last 3 guys on the charge...haha...

I went into my local FLGS Friday after work before I picked up my daughter from school...stopped in to pick up a few paints to paint up my 500 point Chaos Iron Warrior guys...no problem right

got my paints completely ignoring the two people hovering over the boxes of models...get the to the register...owner and I joke around for a few minutes and says that he got the new Space Wolf Battleforce in only an hour or so before I got in...so I walk over those two both have a SW battleforce in their hands a piece...so I ask to see one of them...one looks at me as if I were Horus and I just asked to come into the Emperors Palace for a cup of tea...the other was more then happy to let me look it over...

two seconds later I walk to the register box in hand...

HAHA...had a blast over the weekend...and even got to play a game Tuesday night...

First off...

Thunderfire Cannon is my new best friend for 100 points in a game that has, IG, Tau, Orks, anything that has a truck load of people in it...

I used that on my first game Saturday...took out half a squad of IG guys...then the Cannon was hit by half a dozen long distance shots from that same IG guy...I still say he did not have line of sight...why you ask...I was behind a wall...literally...but whatever...Techmarine walked away and torn into his team mate with his servo-harness and took out a Necron Lord...it was very nice to watch that...

Played a few other games with the Thunderfire Cannon that day...very useful...as well as my two Land Speeders...great for a distraction...I just need to figure out the best weapon combo...I went with Heavy Bolter, Heavy Flamer or Mulit-Melta...but the first game saw them destroy a whole tact squad of Space Marines the second game saw them blown up after a turn of shooting...all the other people on the other team (3 vs 3 game) used every shot they had to take them down...that was a lot of shots let me tell you...and they never blew up either...ended up having one with a Heavy Bolter sit there taking pot shots at everything around it each turn...

Which means Land Speeders are a hit or miss really in my SM army...

Sundays games saw me bring out my Land Raider Redeemer...(which was really a Land Raider...but I proxied it as a Redeemer...) and let me just say...that Strenght6 AP3 Flamer really roast some orks...I threw in some Assault Terminators with Twin Lightning Claws and a guy with TH/SS plus a Chaplain in Terminator Armour and they took out a whole squad of Tank Bustas...and Lootas...it was a truely magical experience...

Second Game on Sunday saw me just form gun lines and rip into well nothing really...I got stuck with a guy on my team who cannot make an army list to save his life...he had 750 points to use...he ended up with a Sential...Valkarie...2 Veteran Troop squads...his cheap HQ...and that was it...is that 750 points...no...because nothing was maxed out...nothing...

ehh no worries...I threw my guys at a squad of Khorne Besekers...they killed the guys as they died...it was great...snipers took out the Khorne guys that survived...only for them to die before the Sternguard could get to their help...only for the sternguard to die before the IG guy was able to well...do anything...haha

that game was a screw around game...40k in 30 minutes really...

Everyone had a plan of letting the IG guy win...and he did...HE KICKED BUTT...because people kept disappearing from squads...don't know how that happened...haha

Tuesdays 4k game of 2 on 2...1k a piece was a bit more fun...I played SM with Cassius and a Grey Knight Grandmaster with Terminators in my Redeemer...Sternguard, scouts, and tact guys...my team mate had Witchhunters I think...we lost...but barely...Sternguard took out a Deamon Prince with Rapid Fire poisioned rounds that wound on a +2...hit on a 3 wound on a 2...it was great...sternguard died before some Emperors Children though...that was not cool...haha

all in all...I would say I got 4 wins 1 Draw and 1 Loss...that was a great time...

Iron Warriors Warsmith Has Arrived...

And truely it is an awesome model...Now I will be honest...I hate metal models...the only one I do not hate is my Terminator Chaplain I painted up many a years ago...haha I know right

But I am sitting on another Terminator Chaplain that only the head has been painted up...as well as 3 Techmarines - one old school one, one Thunderfire Cannon one, and the one from the pack with Servitors...All I need now is the special order one and I would have every Techmarine there is...haha...I am close to that on the Chaplains as well...all I need is the one with the Jump Pack and the one with the Bike...(but I already used one chaplain as my jump chaplain...)

Getting off course though...my bad...haha

Honestly I am looking forward to playing Chaos Iron Warriors...as of right now everyone I play with would have no problem with me fielding IG tanks and the such as long as I pay the proper price no half off discounts of stuff...haha...Like for example that IG tank that puts up to 29 shots a round...20 from the main guy then the two sponsers and the front mounted turret gun to boot...that would be what I would field...29 shots per turn on top of my Chaos Marines running forward...sick I know...

But that is a few months off at the closest window to get those tanks and add them to my chaos army...

But seeing that I am rambling off here I will post a picture of the unpainted Warsmith...I guess his loadout will be a Power Fist, Combi-Bolter (melta of course) and toss him with a squad of Iron Warriors that need to be primed and painted...by himself he comes to 125...same price as Cassius...just minus the Toughness 6...now that would be sick...

The Entire Warband minus of course the Warsmith as he has yet to arrive from Gameworkshop...

This little sword here is actually something I wanted to try...I cut the sharp pointy tip off the sword itself and used a well clear triangle piece of hard plastic from a CD container and glued it on there...I am thinking I leave the clear plastic alone and paint up the rest of the sword and see where is goes from there...

If I want to push past the 500 point mark all I would need to do is just add my 1k Sons squad in with a Rhino and give my guy with the cool sword a combi-melta like he has in the picture...and go from there...it would be neat...at 1k worth of points I add in a Khorne Squad without rhino but 12 guys altogether...1250...I add a land raider...haha of DOOOOM

Ok I don't know what happened...these are some of the worse pictures I have ever taken

These are the high points of my models though I won't lie...each one of them has the same chalice on their shoulder pad...Cause you know being Soul Drinkers and all...haha

Except for this guy...if you know about the Black Templar and Crimson Fist Chapters you know at one time the two joined forces in an ad-hoc fashion to fight an enemy...and yes they did win...

But think about it...the Soul Drinkers are suppose to be a Second Founding just like those two...flat out end of story...except their entire record has been deleted...so what if they were there as well...would they not have had done the samething with their armour...I have two other guys with a knee pad painted but this one stands out the most...one shoulder pad is a Black Templar Shoulder Pad...and painted as such the other is a stipped Shoulder Pad with Crimson Fist Red, Soul Drinkers Purple, and Black Templars well black...haha

This one that you can barely see is the Chalice and DORN written over the top of that...

Soo then...yeah I know I owe you what half a dozen pictures...either my battery was dead in the camera or I missplaced it somewhere in the house...

but I just did a Soul Drinker in a Black Wash after I had finished painting it...I cannot really tell a big or even medium to small difference...but I will hit up the other 9 Soul Drinkers...

If I like how the 10 turn out I can do the other 6 tact squads with those colors and call it done...haha

But I am restarting my Chaos Army...the Fallen Templar will have a Warsmith as their Commanding Officer...hmmm...wonder if he might have been one of those Techmarines that Survived...haha...Just waiting on my Warsmith to get here...pick up some silver and yellow and go to town...haha

Also I started up a Mordheim army...I tried out the Witch Hunters but the only person I would win against was...no one really...haha lost every game but one of them...and that was my first game with the other guys that knew how to play...haha

Well after my last loss with my Witch Hunters (IE...everyone but my henchmen (bowmen on top of it) dying) I decided to start a new army...went through the other list and did not see anything that caught my eye...Then someone said something about unoffical list...and seeing that no one in the group had a problem with that...I started a Beast of Chaos army for Mordheim...first game I trounced...everyone has Base 2-Attacks, 4-Strenght, 4-Toughness, 2-Wounds...haha...it was great...I mean think about it...these guys could probably taken on some Space Marines with those stats...haha

I have been waiting for sunday to roll back around so I can catch up with the guys and gals of the group and go at it again...I even bought a few models for my army so I won't have to use someone elses Fantasy models...haha

I will post pictures of all this hopefully soonish...haha if I am lucky anyway...haha

Also I was watching TV the other night and I saw this hot blond playing this character...I was sitting there thinking...I know this woman from somewhere...and seeing that I have never been to Hollywood I would assume she was in a TV show I use to watch...and if I remembered her it had to be a Sci-Fi type show...haha

Ok then I think I feel as though my 10 man Soul Drinker Squad is finished...I will be posting some pictures of them tomorrow as well they are at my office...and well I am at home...stupid stupid stupid... I know...

but onto other stuff...

Space Wolves DOMINATE...let me rephrase that...

The new Space Wolves can DOMINATE ALL WHO THEY GO AGAINST...Necrons, other Space Marines...it was roughly 2 to 1 odds and I still took the flat out win it was epic...

Played 3 games with them over the weekend...First one was an objective game...two grey hunters with a blood claw pack and a predator tank...HQ with some snazy stuff to boot...sat on my home objective with a Grey Hunter Pack inside cover without the rhino (small game could afford rhinos for everyone...haha) and had the blood claws go for the other objective as my last Grey Hunter Pack went for the 3rd objective...Kept my own objective the entire game...took the second objective and contested the 3rd objective in their starting area at the last turn...the blood claws with a Power fist ripped into 2 Space Marine squads and killed 20 tact marines over the course of the game...my second grey hunter squad that went after the other objective took out about 15 marines including a Chaplain and Captain...it was nice I know...

Second game was a 5k game per side...5 on 5 though so each person got 1k worth of points...I had the same list except all squads had a rhino and flamer basic...it was nice...took about 3 hours but with 10 people I think that was pretty quick actually...I lost about 10 men the entire game and seeing that each squad only peaked out at 7 before I added the wolf guard to the packs I think that is pretty good indeed...the counter attack rule is pretty nice compaired to the old 4th edition verson...haha a very useful trick to have indeed...

Third game was on Sunday the next day...had a friend drive down from Stateville first time we ever meet face to face knew him through rough-market and found out he lived about an hour or so from me...had him and his ork boyz come down and he was automatically on my team...

Let me say this...in this 1k game as well 3 on 3 this time... I have never seen so many orks live in a game against heavy bolters...twin linked on top of that...I think he may have lost 20 orks tops out of his entire 1k army...and he only had one vehicle...whole sale slaughter I would say...haha

And of course the Space Wolves ate everything they touched...but because of the saturday game everyone took out my three rhinos before they even got to move...it was ok I had my razorback with Long Fangs surive the entire game before being hit with anything and they took out every bit of armour that came within firing range...and the Heavy Bolters in the pack took out just chunks of infantry which was great considering it was 1 cron player and 2 sm players we were up against...haha

My Handheld Heavy Bolters that my Long Fangs were using were doing a better job then the other SM guys Twin-Linked Heavy Bolters were doing against the orks...haha

Goes to show that my Space Wolves are truely a force to be reconded with...at this rate I wont be able to play them anymore like my Chaos List with the Icon of Khorne...haha

It is kinda like Pimpin Time...but only for Space Wolves...haha

Oh common we all know that the New codex is out in the begining of October...and we all know that some Imperial Guard player won the Ard Boyz contest without breaking a sweat...but today is something even better...

For me anyway...

I have in my hand a copy of the Space Wolves Codex...and oh my Bejesus himself...it is truely a great sight...I can have a Long Fangs Squad with Heavy Bolters and Multi-Meltas at around 125 for a squad...throw on a Razorback for 40 points...add even more fire power to the squad...and yes I was right a while back...I do not get to max out my Long Fang squad to 10 like the Devastator Squads in the Space Marine codex...so instead of 5 extra bolters I get an extra heavy weapon...haha I think that is a more then fair trade...and if I loose a guy I would want to take out the Heavy Weapons first so I can divide my firing onto multiple targets because of the Sergeant in the squad...also...Heavy Bolters are 5 points a piece...I KNOW RIGHT...5 Heavy Bolters for 25 points...that is a lot of shots...haha

Wolf Guard Squads...they are not an Independent Character like the Battle Leader and such...(by the way we get the Wolf Lord and then the Wolf Leader just like the last codex) but max out the weapons and take them out of the squad to put with another squad as a sergeant...neat I know...

There is no Russ tanks unfortantly...nor is there a Thunderfire Cannon...or Servo Harnesses for the Iron Wolf Priest...which I think is wierd on that last part..but hey atleast those weapon destroyed will come back on a roll of 5+ and you get to a 1 for each Thrall w/Servo Arm as well...got two Thralls...roll a 3 or better and that Twin-Linked Assault Cannon is back in business...haha

Grey Hunters are exactly as you have all heard...15 points a piece...but only one Power Weapon/Fist...no two per squad...le sigh...and also only one Plamsa Pistol...but hey they made up for the only one power weapon with the Mark of the Wulfen on one man in the squad...that will help...haha...that and if it is a 10 man squad we get two flamers for free...haha

Blood Claws...nice little +2 on the charge for attacks with the Basic Bolt Pistol, CCW included...throw on the Trickseter...and poof...neat little squad of doom and destruction...haha

the Lone Wolves are really cool...I like that idea a lot...start out cheap as heck with their stat line and go up from there...but the points will sink into him real quick...basic Lone Wolf with Terminator Armour and lets just say Thunder Hammer and Storm Shield w/ 2 wolves...you will break 100 points easy...

I really don't see a lot of people using a jump pack squad with the blood claws at the helm...unless they just want to have death from above...haha...yes the Storm Claws get the +2 on the charge just like the Blood Claws...wait...they are Blood Claws...with Jump Packs...HEY WAIT A SECOND...that is the same as the last codex...haha

Honestly...I expect Games Workshop to have a second wave of Space Wolves...of just wolves...haha...Thunderwolf Calvary...Cyberwolves...Wolf Packs...Packs of Wolves...wolves on crack...crack on wolves...so on and so forth...hahaI think the only people that cannot get a wolf or two per squad from the base points are the Grey Hunters and Blood Claws...haha

Book Review TIME...

HAHA...I know right...

Ok First one off the list...Salamanders

First Main whole story book all to itself concerning the Salamanders Chapter mainly a Company who's Captain was killed not but a few months before hand from a Multi-Melta at point blank...I don't even think a 3+ save would work like that...haha

But luckly his Second took over...Even over the protest of a few of the Sergeants and quickly became the man to lead the Company to future endenvours of greatness...only for the last 20 pages or so get killed by one of his own men...REALLY...COMMON MAN...I mean yes Nick Kyme *the Aurthor* did a great job...I mena you even knew that this guy was going to do something like that...even explained how he was able to get by the Chaplains...this guy was sick...and was a loyalist marine to boot...and I use loyalist to the extreme right...haha

But I won't spoil it for you guys as the book has only been out for a few months so far...and not everyone has had a chance to read it...so that is all I will tell you concerning that book...

I just look forward to the second book in the series...

Honestly...I want a second book with these main characters again...Yes I know the book has been out for ages now...but I was re-reading it after the Salamander book this weekend...*which is actually the 3rd time for the Salamander Book...*

The way he goes around as one of the Heresy Marines...from 10,000 years ago...it just brilant...I have never read any books with people that make it that far into the future...yes the Games Workshop people hint that you can come out x amount of years into the future...but the furthest one I have ever seen was that Assassin who came out what 600-1000 years after they were sent off...not 10,000 years...haha...I mean this guy knew his Primarch...knew the Emperor himself...saw worlds broughts into the fold that was the growing Imperium...It is understandable that he would go after the one artifact of his Primarch...

When he finally meets up with his own Legion it is of one of the other warbands...who went he route of pure chaos...after a knock down fight between the two out main anti-hero character here takes off to find his own warband...

Honestly...I want to see if he ever found them and if they were still the legion men that he left 10,000 years ago...and would they accept him back into the fold as their commander at all...

That book was great...honestly it was...I just think that a book like that deserves more then one title...I mean the Ultramarines are coming up on the 6th novel...Space Wolves have already his 6...I mean really...give the Anti-Hero some love here...

But seeing that I had a few free hours...instead of painting of going to Hickory to play a game or two...I decided to watch Football and make up this Command Structure of the Ultra Templar and what is left of their Chapter...haha

I think it is pretty cool

Now I have finished up the final touches of my two squads of Storm Troopers...two completely different color scheme's too...just to make it so you know that they are working for the Inquisition...haha

Took three of my Deathwatch Veterans with Power Weapons for the Inquisitor and two Acyolates...I have to relook at the prices but those power weapons on the Acyolates may just be a CCW...haha...as power armour is 10 pts...nice I know...haha

So my New Inquisitor will be one with Power Armour, Power Weapon, Rosarius, Plasma Pistol, Psyhic Hood, Psycannon Ammo(that no invulv save bullets with an AP4...)

Thrown on the Two Acyolates w/Power Armour for allocating wounds...maybe a mancatcher...just for giggles...

Two extra Sages on top of this to give my Inquisitor lord a BS of 6 now...on top of allowing me to re-roll that Plasma Pistol if needed...haha

and then two Veteran Guards men making his WS a 6 as well...give them a hellpistol or something along those lines with a CCW to boot...7 man squad is not bad...

Add that to the two full 10 man squads of Stormtroopers w/Flamer, and Grenade Launcher...and the Sarge has a Power Weapon and Bolt Pistol they come out to about 146 points or so a squad...give or take...

Nice starting army of what is that about 500 points right there for 17 guys...not that bad I would say...haha

If I wanted to I could throw in some Space Marine squads at 215 a peice that comes with a Flamer, HB, MM or ML, Rhino and Power Weapon...haha....Two of those would be 430 on top of them that is 4 squads and an HQ under 1k...I can barely do that with SM as it is right now...haha

But in this list I would have an
Inquisitor lord with WS6/BS6/S3/T3/W5(allocated)/I5/A3/Ld10/S 3+/4+ which is not that bad at all...

And yes by Saturday I will have full squads pictures up as well as a few of those Soul Drinkers I was talking about earlier this week...

and because of that I got a nasty headache...haha

but no seriosuly here...I have been re-reading for the umpteith time the Soul Drinkers books and so on and so forth...and I was thinking...what I have right now...if what they had whenever the Imperial Fist came and took them off the planet...the only difference is I have 4 Chaplains and three Techmarines but only one Librarian...haha...those numbers seem wrong...

But no worries I say...

I have actually already painted up a 10 man squad with a flamer for the first squad of Soul Drinkers the Sergeant only has the basic Chainsword, Bolter combo but the next set I am thinking of having a power weapon or so...

I mean don't get me wrong I love my Blood Angels list...The Sons of Baal...the Salamaders are cool but not for me...So I will just transfer those draws, wins to the Ultra Templar ratio...and change their names to The Soul Drinkers...

I will hopefully have some pictures of the first squad up this week as the battery is being charged...

And yes it is about the Space Wolves new codex that is coming out soonish...haha

First off

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHACK HACkhack...

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA...ok I will stop but none the less 15 point Grey Hunters and 15 point Blood Claws...ok so the Claws went up a point the GH guys stay about the same but now I don't have to pay for my Bolters and Grenades...sweetness...

I have not seen any Dreadnoughts being HQ units for this codex and honestly I will miss that a lot...I enjoyed having a Dread in my 500 point SW games...it was fun...

Having a truck load of Leaders will help us destroy everyone that much quicker and I for one completely understand why GW did what they did with the Packs, and Leaders and so on and so forth...I do honestly want a cheap Ven Dread as an HQ if not...no worries...haha

But anyone who reads the Space Wolves Novels the codex that everyone has been reading about and screaming cheese...Honestly...go read the Novels...almost word for word how the codex should be...

Ohh no a force of Terminators as troops...Sorry Dark Angels you don't have that trick anymore...BULL I SAY...I still get that trick plus a bit cheaper...you can swap out for a TH/SS or TLC for free I would have to pay for my Claws...

Blood Claws apparently are just scouts in Power Armour...OH WAIT THAT IS WHAT THEY ARE IN THE BOOKS...except they are not ones that go out to scout they are the ones that get thrown into the guns to kill as much as they can until they learn to control their wulfen inside them...

Long Fangs are SOOO BROKEN you say...SO let me get their straight...I get 5 weapons to your 4 weapons...ok then...more then likely I won't be able to field 10 men in my Long Fang pack where your Devastator squads can field 5 more guys with bolters to take the wounds...even if I can field the other 4 guys with bolters...their range is 24...not 36-600000...haha so they wont be adding a whole lot but bodies like...WAIT YOUR DEVASTATOR SQUADS DO...

Wolf Packs as a troop choice...OHHH NO WHAT SHALL I EVER DO...uh it is called rapid fire for a reason...more then likely a single wound unit with a 5+ save of some sort if they are lucky and are there just to clog your fire lanes as the rest of my guys get up there...

Single men fighters...with MASTERCRAFTED MELTABOMBS...MUHAHAHAHAHA...with their 3+ armour save...all by themselves...standing there...in the open...*cough*RAPID FIRE AGAIN*cough*....

GAWD I AM SO TIRED...you people yell cheese without even seeing the codex first...WOW THIS UNIT CAN DO THIS...they fire laser beams out their ears and their eyes stare you down until that unit takes their own lives and their bolters are crafted on the forge world of mars itself and have a 48 inch range that has a strenght 7 ap2 and assault 23994...OH MY GAWD...

After recovering from my apoplectic fit (LOL!) and remembering how to breathe again, it dawned on me that mayhap mkerr the elder chose not to share some details about this new power. Perhaps there's some kind of special test, or save...oh YEAH, there's an INITIATIVE TEST. That'll save ya!

Congratulations, Games Workshop. You've outdone yourselves! You couldn't just take the new C:SW by the power-whorehouse for enough "sessions" to make an entire codex rant-worthy (comical or otherwise).

Oh, NO, that's what we expected.

Instead, you made your opening bid a single psychic power so jacked that it was rant-worthy by itself!

It's really a shame, too, because I was thinking maybe, just maybe GW had gotten a better hold on the whole "game balance" thing and while I expected the new SW book to be very competent, close-combat-wise -- and definitely a "step up", power-wise from the old SW 'dex...I certainly wasn't expecting the steaming pile of wolf turds that this power represents -- unless there are mitigating rules/circumstances/things we don't know about yet that makes even using this power in some way risky to the Rune Priest and/or there is some kind of "save" other than a woefully-ridiculous initiative test.

Now, one thing: notice I didn't say SW players shouldn't take this power. If it's in your book, take it. However, I may very well begin carrying a 2-foot-long crowbar with me to game so that I'll have my own little "24 inch line" that makes things disappear (or collapse in a heap of bruises and pain, which is just as effective) for those special moments when your 200+ point squad gets eaten by an invisible wolf. :)

Smoke 'em if ya got 'em, folks. Inquisitor Lords with the old-school unlimited range psychic hood are now pretty much mandatory unless you enjoy the feeling of wolf johnson in your backside. Actually, a tooled-up Ordo Hereticus Inquisitor Lord with all those nifty "make the enemy psyker go away" powers/wargear...hmm...

Real quick word though

you only loose the guy(s) if they fail a leadership test...

lets say they are LD8... hits three guys... roll my 2D6 three times and poof each time has a 66% chance of passing said test...which is also about the chances of the SM armour saves of 3+...

So while everyone is getting all it is broken...it is PURE CHEESE...think about it for a second...and remember...I might hit three guys and if I am lucky...I can take out one of them...oh no the guy hit the serge with a power weapon...well then negate the wound to the guy with a bolter...

Think about it before everyone complains...haha...

It may look cool on paper and I see a lot of people using I won't lie I will use it myself in games where I can aford the Rune Prist himself...but for the most part...just stay far enough away and treat like the lash it is...
